Das Hotel wurde in bester Absicht in strahlendem Weiß errichtet, die traditionelle Architektur ähnelt dem Fort, das wenige hundert Meter entfernt liegt. Das Entree ist zunächst beeindruckend, mit einem großen Parkplatz und einer weitläufigen Anlage. Offensichtlich verlassene Nebengebäude rahmen einen großen, angenehm temperierten und sauberen Pool ein, der einladend sein könnte, hätte man nicht den Eindruck, einen Geisterort zu betreten. Die Fotos aus den Jahren um 2018 haben allenfalls entfernte Ähnlichkeit mit der Realität, es laden keine Liegestühle zum Verweilen ein, die Bepflanzung ist rudimentär, die Bar verwaist. Man hat Zugang zum Strand, aber auch der bietet keinerlei Komfort. Der Tennisplatz ist außer Funktion. Zu den Zimmern: sie sind geräumig und bieten grundsätzlich zeitgemäßen Komfort mit Wasserkocher, großem Fernseher, guten Betten und funktional eingerichteten Bädern. Die Möblierung wirkt etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Es mag am Ramadan liegen, dass wir am Schluss bestenfalls eine Handvoll Gäste waren. Das Zimmer wurde am ersten Tag des Ramadan nicht mehr geputzt, aber vielleicht hatte es sich nicht herumgesprochen, dass wir noch einen Tag dranhängen wollten, weil wir das Bad im Meer sehr genossen hatten. Auch an den Tagen vorher war die Reinigung erst am späten Nachmittag erfolgt. Das Abendessen (wir nahmen es am ersten Tag ein) fanden wir von Qualität und Präsentation ansprechend, den Service sowohl beim Frühstück als auch am Abend außerordentlich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Auswahl zum Frühstück ist überschaubar, aber wenn etwas fehlte, konnten wir nachbestellen. Unsere Gründe, trotz einiger Widrigkeiten 5 Nächte zu bleiben: wir bekamen nach zäher Gegenwehr des Empfangs gegen Aufpreis ein Balkonzimmer. Auf dem Balkon mit Blick aufs Meer kann man sich gut aufhalten, wer dieses Hotel in Erwägung zieht, sollte direkt danach fragen. Strandhotels sind im Oman trotz reger Bautätigkeit immer noch rar.

Actually it was a very bad experience the blanket was dirty the receptionist are not helpful hope they will ameriolate in the future, also I was surprised that a c for warming is not working, after complain they said we will add three hours for sheck out loool.

It was Arafat Day (27 July 2023) plus 3 days of Eid Holiday so my wife and I decided to drive to Oman from Abu Dhabi, UAE. This hotel is decent and well maintained. The Omani Mr. Ibrahim (?) from the reception was very helpful and gave us information that we need. Only complaint we have is the not so cool AC. We can't bring down the temp below 25 deg C. We set the thermostat to 23 and then to 21 but the temp hover between 25 and 27 deg C. Even with the hotel staff intervention, the temp did not go down below 25. They have a good swimming pool and a nice Bangladeshi lifeguard (we forgot his name). The beach is actually part of a public beach. It wasn't bad but the waves were strong during our stay. The breakfast is quite cheap compared to the many other hotels that we've been through. Mr. Rajesh's karak chai is excellent! Mr. Rajesh was also very courteous and helpful. Overall, it was a good stay and it's location is just perfect and close to everything that we want to go to within Sohar.

Excellent service, welcoming crew and very clean rooms , pleasant view near the beach . The food is so delicious 👌🏻 I had a great time and thank you so much for the great hospitality .. For sure, will visit you again in the future

Excellent service and we enjoyed morning view, food also tasty and fresh. Overall it was a nice experience. The covered play area was nice we enjoyed by playing cricket and football. Really enjoyed. Hopefully we will visit again. Thank you
