Mur Faro Jandia Fuerteventura & Spa

We have stayed at this hotel twice over the past 2 years and the Mur Hotel Faro has always lived upto expectations and was becoming a favourite, quiet, convenient to town and beach and pleasant hotel employees Regrettably, whilst checking out of the hotel, Bergona, the lady at reception, became very hostile particularly towards my wife when she insisted we had not fully paid the account and we would not be able to leave the hotel until we showed her the proof of payment, of course we had paid. We could not believe this was happening in front of the taxi driver who was waiting and many embarrassed hotel guests at reception, the hotel management should think about re-training some employee's !

Somos clientes del hotel Faro Jandía desde hace muchos años y como siempre nuestra opinión es EXCELENTE. Tiene una ubicación muy buena frente a la playa y en medio del paseo rodeado de todo tipo de tiendas. El hotel se caracteriza por una extraordinaria limpieza en todas las instalaciones. Como es un hotel de tamaño medio es muy tranquilo incluso en la zona de piscina. Lo más destacado es su personal. Todos y cada uno de los trabajadores, cualquiera que sea su cometido, son muy amables y están deseando facilitar la estancia a los clientes. Resulta muy difícil destacar a alguien, pero me gustaría hacer mención a tres personas: CONSO, creo que es la directora del restaurante, sevillana, simpática, agradable y muy eficiente. VERÓNICA, creo que es ayudante de Conso, siempre pendiente que todo en el restaurante esté a punto, muy amable, con gran profesionalidad, sabiendo muy bien su trabajo. BEGOÑA, creo que es la persona que dirige el bar y la terraza, donde se sirven a diario muchas comidas, trabajadora incansable, siempre con su agradable sonrisa, muy amable, con su bonito acento canario. El hotel se merece un 10, pero su personal se merece mucho más. Seguiré alojándome en este hotel, principalmente por la amabilidad de su personal, ya que, me hacen sentirme “como en casa”.

Wir waren seit 2017 zum 4. Mal hier. Das sagt eigentlich alles über das Hotel aus. Eine Woche, alles wunderbar. Vorab angefragter Zimmerwunsch in der gebuchten Preisklasse wurden auch diesmal berücksichtigt. Kleiner Abstrich...das Abendessenangebot. Da ist noch Luft nach oben. Ansonsten wie gehabt freundliches Personal an der Rezeption, der Bar, im Reataurantbereich und auch im Bereich der Wellnessanwendungen. Hervor zu heben ist hier wirklich Sra.Maria Carmen die einen wirklich sehr guten Job macht.

Leider sind die Zimmer in die Jahren gekommen. Die Badzimmer sind zwar sauber aber schwer verbraucht. Rennovierung wäre dringend nötig.

Aan de buitenkant ziet dit hotel er niet speciaal uit, naast een lunapark. Maar binnen verandert dit: mooie ruimtes en een restaurant waar je niet op elkaar gepakt zit, een heerlijk verwarmd buitenzwembad (ook in de winter), een gratis spa enz. Kwaliteit van het eten is ook prima. Gelegen aan één van de mooiste stranden van Fuerteventura en in 20 minuten loop je langs het strand of de weg (met winkels) naar het dorpje Morro Jable. Enkel de bedden vonden we minder. Tip: als je het hotel buiten komt en enkele honderden meters naar links wandelt tref je bijzondere vogels aan in de hoge palmbomen (ibis, zilverreiger enz.)

I don't usually return to hotels, I take the attitude that it's a big world and there are thousands of hotels to choose and it's always exciting trying new places. However I had been here on a solo visit about 10 years ago and was impressed so thought I'd revisit it with my partner, and guess what, I'm even more impressed! We had a top floor superior Seaview room, which was well worth the extra. The room was extremely spacious with a huge balcony complete with table chairs and sunbeds. The bed was comfortable with nice quality bedding and towels, it had everything you could wish for including beach towels, sunhats, robes and slippers. I enjoy showering and the shower was excellent, plenty of hot water with good pressure in a spacious cubicle. Lighting was good for applying make-up etc with a separate shaving mirror. The hotel was dominated by German guests however I find that the Germans have high standards so for me this is a plus. We were on a half board basis, breakfast was more than adequate, I found the eggs to be especially good. Dinner was always very good, there was always something to tempt,we particularly liked the white linen table cloths and napkins, I hope they persevere with it as it certainly adds a touch of class to the room when so many other hotel restaurants seem to resemble school canteens, could even add candles in the evening? We never got to use the spa so can't comment but I'm sure it's outstanding. Lastly the staff, absolutely outstanding, everyone we came in to contact with was brilliant and couldn't do enough for you, they even arranged for me to watch a particular football match in my room. We will return.
