Alehouse

A pleasant ten minute walk from train station. A little hidden and took a few minutes to find. Door will be locked so either press the buzzer or call them. The room was lovely & spacious. Bed was very comfortable so slept well for the 3 nights that we were there. Shower was very hot and powerful. Breakfast was continental which was nice and adequate. Staff are very helpful and friendly. We find a cut short to the town, down the little hill and turn left, follow the road around for a few minutes where you will see a sushi resturant. There's a path next to it into town.

Clean, comfortable, good value The room and toilet were spacious, and clean, with kettle & coffee/ tea packets, hairdryer, shower gel and shampoo, thick white towels (but no toothpaste/ toothbrush/ facial tissues, it seems the norm in Italy hotels). Breakfast was included in the room rate, and had a good spread - ham, cheese, eggs, toast, pastries, juices, fresh fruits, and a coffee machine with choice of cappuccino, mochaccino, espresso and other variations. The b&b is 5-minutes walk from Sorrento railway station, and an even shorter walk to the old town. The only downside is that the front desk is on the 3rd storey, but the lift won’t work without a key. One of us had to climb up to the front desk, then they came down to operate the lift for us. Upon check-in, we were then given the keys to the lift and the main entrance, as well as a card key to our room. The room was serviced daily, we were unable to put up a “do not enter to clean” sign.

Very nice place, such a great location and great service and breakfast.
