Art Hotel Gran Paradiso

Just back from a week at this wonderful hotel, the views are to die for, the pool area is fantastic, plenty of sunbeds and parasols available, the rooms were bright and spotlessly clean, beds/towels changed every day, the staff can not do enough for you they are fabulous and so friendly, the breakfast buffet had a great selection of hot and cold food, also an omelette station where they make them fresh to order, great coffee!!, the evening restaurant is superb we went 3 times over our week, food was exquisite, they put on a bus service which runs 10 times a day taking you from the hotel down to Sorrento station and picking you up, this is a great idea as the hill is very narrow and steep, special mention to the lovely Carlo who works at the bar and restaurant of an evening, he is a credit to you as are all your staff, thank you for a wonderful week and we will be back

Just a word of warning to anyone thinking of booking this hotel. Check which room you have been allocated. If you don't specify you want a view of the Bay of Naples then you are likely to end up with with a room at the back of the hotel looking on to scrub land and a steep bank-side. This is not what we were expecting and my wife was in tears within two minutes of entering our room. No one mentioned anything to us about upgrading to a superior sea view room during the booking process. So be careful. The holiday wasn't cheap to start with, so to be allocated this substandard room was very disappointing. We upgraded at an extra cost of 50 Euros per night, 350 Euros in our case. However, if the hotel had been full and no upgrade possible, the initial room allocated would have spoilt our whole weeks stay. The review on 8th June 'absolute gem of a hotel' is spot on. Our new room 203, was next door to the person leaving their review. Stunning views of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius, but you have to pay extra for those!

The hotel restaurant and pool were lovely. Staff was very kind and the views were amazing! The shuttle to town was so useful. The room was on the smaller side but we had a huge balcony

Worth no more than a 3 star in my opinion, plenty of good things about this hotel while quite a few negatives. Easy check in, got there quite late on a Friday we booked a superior room with a sea view. (It’s a sea view if you go onto your balcony and look right. We had a safe in our room, I asked the girl in reception if I could have the key she said we haven’t got one, oh great thanks for that. Pool is lovely plenty of room and umbrellas if needed, staff mostly very helpful, there’s a shuttle bus into town on a regular basis. Other negatives, we had to check out without any option of a late checkout spending around 5hrs waiting in reception, plus there’s a lack of plug sockets in the room, and with only 1 room key that operates the electricity.

Hotel ligt op een heuvel met een fenomenaal uitzicht! Alleen al hiervoor zou je komen. Wij hadden een pakketreis geboekt met IMAGINE uit België. Zoals de vorige hotels hadden ze de minste kamers gereserveerd, achterzijde gebouw met uitzicht op.. een stenen muur. Direct upgrade gevraagd en twee dagen later kregen we de mooiste kamer. Zonder meerkost, waarvoor nogmaals onze dank. 10x per dag een perfecte gratis shuttledienst naar de stad (en terug) , taxi kost 20€. Zeer mooi en groot zwembad met uitzicht naar stad. Verzorgde ontbijt, snelle service. Diner: niet nemen, is benedenmaats.

Our 2 week stay here was fabulous-honestly amazing. Spotlessly clean,Staff so friendly and helpful. Can't speak highly enough of them. Pool fantastic-sunbed area fantastic-soo relaxing. Felt very pampered. Food was fresh and of a high standard. Absolutely loved this hotel-will definitely be going back. Highly recommended 👌.
