Very friendly welcome snd nice homecooked food. It is a very old building but as comfortable as is possible.

We decided to go out at the last minute (not a good idea!) When I phoned the landlord said they were busy but could fit us in (it was steak night). We had a warm welcome. The food was very good and tasty, a beef lasagne with salad and a steak and ale pie, chips and veg. Follwed by chocolate brownies/cream and a waffle with fruit and ice cream. A good atmosphere with lots of locals.

Excellent breakfast. Lovely old Inn but the old solid walls and single glazed windows aren’t good at keeping the heat in.

It's what makes Devon so welcoming
Could not wish for more. Lovely village, perfect old world setting and just a few miles from the main road. An historic pub that matches it's promise in every way. Very friendly staff and welcoming locals. Nice choices at breakfast too.

Very welcoming staff, breakfast was delicious and sets you up for the day. We didn’t eat our evening meal at the hotel, but the choices looked very good.

Pity about no parking as the long stay cost of parking overnight was £10 and you had to pay again at 9 am.
