The Ambassador Townhouse

Went here for the weekend April 2025. I stay in lots of hotels with work alone. This occasion I was with my partner and we booked here it was a guest house and not a hotel so was unsure what to expect. We got there late Friday and Tony the owner was very nice and helpful and helped in every way he could. We stayed for 2 nights we also see Tony again on the Saturday he was polite and helped again every way he could. As for a guest house it’s 5 star compared to any other guest house I’ve stayed in. Room was really clean and smart had everything you needed and the location was perfect also. Me and my partner both agreed we would stay here again in the future.

We stayed at the Ambassador townhouse for our Anniversary (51 years) We were greeted by Tony a very friendly owner of the guest house. We had the option of breakfast and have to say all our breakfasts were excellent. Our room was on the first floor and was spotless, spacious and the added advantage of a fridge for fresh milk and to keep a bottle of wine nicely chilled. Great outlook with a big bay window. Location was great as well as so close to Lord Street the Lake and the town centre. Tony had good knowledge of Southport, Liverpool and surrounds. Big thanks to Tony too for the prosecco....on ice for us when we arrived....also lovely Anniversary card. Such a nice thought and we would definitely stay here again. Our 4 nights away were made extra special with Tony's great hospitality. Carole and Gary from Hartlepool.

The hotel was well located and provided free parking which was great . Tony was a superstar , very welcoming and always available. He really went out of his way to ensure you had everything you needed . Breakfast was delicious. We had a great 2 nights here and would recommend .

Parking space in front of accommodation in middle of town centre so ideal walking to shops/bars/restaurants. Friendly welcome from host Tony who showed us spacious lounge with TV to relax in if not in bedroom, separate breakfast room then said if require anything don't hesitate to ask with a bell button and contact numbers if need be. Bedroom large, comfortable bed en suite with nice little touches provided. Exceptionally clean, classic style decor and one of the best we've stayed in. Cooked breakfast was an option as extra, we already had plans so didn't take up this time. Highly recommended, we have already booked a return trip to stay.

We had a lovely stay at the ambassador Tony the host was very friendly and couldn't do enough for you, The breakfast was delicious and rooms were cosy and comfortable we had a brilliant stay and we will return 😊

Had a great stay! Tony is a great host and did everything he could to make sure we had anything we needed. Rooms lovely an spacious , decor is lovely throughout , only negatives where it’s a noisy area at night with the bars being so close by, the bathroom light is automatic so not ideal for going to the bathroom in the night and having the light blaring on,and one of the rooms didn’t have a working fridge. Apart from that it was a really nice place to stay, we loved the fully black out blinds an curtains, tea/coffee facilities in the room, hair dryer,playing cards in room, downstairs lounge very nice an comfortable and parking available on the drive. Would definitely recommend!
