"في المجمل كانت اقامتنا جيدة ، وبخاصة بالنظر إلى أن الهدف الرئيسي للرحلة كان الاسترخاء والتمتع بالاستحمامات الساخنة. وبهذا المعنى ، قدم الفندق تجربة ممتعة. نحن نحب قضاء بعض الوقت في هذا الفندق ، خاصة وأن جميع مرافق الفندق كانت على ما يرام ، كما أننا نمنا قليلاً. مع ذلك، كانت الاتصالات قبل الوصول نقطة ضعف. إلى اللحظة الأخيرة، لم يتواصل معي أحد عن طريق Trip.com رسائل. لا أحد يتكلم معكم عن هذا الموضوع. كان هذا مخيباً للآمال، خاصةً أنني حجزت في الإقامة هدية لوالدي الأكبر سناً وأرادت الإقامة بشكل وثيق مع الفندق قبل تسجيل الدخول لتجنب أي ضغوط أو سوء تفاهم يقع الفندق في وسط المدينة التاريخي، بجوار محطة مترو الانفاق، وعلى مرمى حجر من السوق ومقابل محطة القطار. كانت الغرفة نفسها ممتازة وواسعة، ومريحة، مع إطلالة جميلة على المحيط. هناك تفاصيل صغيرة ولكن ملحوظة، لم يتم العثور على الفندق: لا يوجد غلاية كهربائية في الغرفة، ولا يمكن الحصول على حقائب الشاي، والتي كان من الممكن تقديرها. كانت اللحظة الأكثر تعباً في اليوم الأول من وجبة الإفطار. لم يتم تسجيل والدتي فقط في النظام، ولم يسمح لي والدتي بالدخول في البداية، وكأنها ليست جزءاً من الحجز. كان هذا سبباً في إجهاد غير ضروري في حالة والدي. وكل منهما كان اسماؤهم ظاهراً خلال الحجز، لذا كان هذا الوضع غير متوقع. كان الإفطار نفسه جيد جدا، وهو ما ستتوقعه بالنظر إلى مستوى الأسعار. بشكل عام الانطباع الاجمالي إيجابي كانت الاقامه ممتعه وتصلح للاستجمام . توصيتي الرئيسية هي تحسين التواصل و دقة الحجز، وخاصة عندما يكون الضيف مسافر كعائلة أو عندما يتم حجز الإقامة كهدية."

"Pleasant stay at the hotel. Clean accommodation and nice rooms. We had the superior room and the only downside was that the two single beds kept sliding apart. Easily solved if wheels with brakes were installed. Otherwise, friendly staff and a great breakfast."

"فندق جيد للراحة بعد ليلة فقط جميعها قديمة ومعتدلة في بعض الأحيان. سرير جيد والموظفين ودية للغاية. موقع جيد بالقرب من محطة القطار الرئيسية. عيبها الوحيد هو عدم وجود تكييف الهواء كما هو الحال دائما. جيد لعطلة عطلة نهاية الأسبوع مقابل السعر. وكانت إطلالة المدينة على منطقة وقوف السيارات."

"Unless there’s somewhere special I have in mind, I tend to have a habit of patronising the restaurant attached to the accommodation I have booked. At this stage I have only booked a single night in Spa. At dinner I notice there are no ashtrays on the tables. I ask if this is a smoke free restaurant. The waiter tells me that at the moment no one is smoking, but they are allowed to smoke if they wish. I ask if I can move if someone starts smoking. No! Once you sit down, you cannot move. {emphasis on the full stop} Okay, so I’m paying over $100 for dinner and if some inconsiderate wants to smoke and ruin my night, then I have to just suck it all up. After that conversation, the waiter now serves me without eye contact. The food is placed on the table, he utters something in French and briskly walks away. There is no explanation as to what is in the soup of the day. The table next to me appears to have ordered soup of the day as well, but it is a completely different colour. So did I get yesterday’s leftovers. To those who speak French he jokes and smiles – the ultimate shmoozer. In the French part of Belgium, no one seems to speak English. Not an issue – it’s their country – but the change from the Dutch part to the French part is interesting. I am now looked down upon for not speaking their local language. I get the whole language thing, but as an Australian coming to Europe for a couple of months, am I really expected to learn 5 or 6 differnt languages to make everyone happy. As to the waiter; his shoes are cheap; his pants are too long as he can’t be bothered taking them up and they are sliding down under his pot belly since he’s not wearing a belt. Yet somewhere in his mind he is above me in status without knowing a single thing about me. After both waiters ignore me for ages, he finally comes to collect my glass. He looks at me with raised eyebrows. There is no verbalised question as to whether I would like another glass of wine, more a disdainful look – he will not lower himself to utter words to someone less than himself. I request another glass and ask if it could be in a bigger glass, explaining that Pinot Noir needs to breathe – I was initially served a much smaller glass than every other table. Hmmpph. Okay He placed the glass on my table and walked away as quickly as he could with no eye contact. I raised my palms to the sky in exasperation as he walked away. He approached me a few minutes later and told me that his fellow waitress had claimed I was still asking him a question when he walked away. I explained why I felt aggrieved and he told me that he was sorry I had interpreted things this way. After dinner I walk across the square to anothet hotel who gives me an air conditioned room for 10% less for the following night. "

"Stayed here for a weekend and I really wanted to like it more than I did. To start with the positive: the building and overall design of the hotel are truly exceptional. It has a beautiful, classical feel and is honestly the main reason to come here. Also, the staff member handling the car and luggage was great — friendly and professional. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The overall service level is simply not what you expect from a five-star hotel. Waiting times were too long, and the staff in both the restaurant and the bar often seemed inattentive. The spa concept is also questionable. Limiting access to one hour might help avoid crowds, but it’s just not enough time to properly relax. More importantly, this should be clearly communicated upfront — I only found out upon arrival. Breakfast was another disappointment. At €45 per person, it felt overpriced for what was offered. Having to make your own coffee at that price point doesn’t make sense, and while the food was fine, it wasn’t anything special. Overall, while I’d love to return just for the building itself, the service issues make that unlikely."
