Escape to a tranquil retreat at this 2-bedroom house at beautiful Addis Acres in Griffin. Unwind in the fantastic living room with a cozy sofa bed and large smart TV, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Enjoy the serene atmosphere of the king and full beds in the bedrooms. Pamper yourself in the 2 bathrooms equipped with showers and hair dryers. Experience what Griffin has to offer with a stay at Ruth's Cottage! Take in the majestic sunrise overlooking the water on the back deck while enjoying a cup of coffee or tea. In the evening, turn on the festive string lights and fire up the grill on the deck as you kick back with friends or family and reflect on memories you will cherish. Make sure you don't forget your fishing gear! You will not want to leave without catching some bass, bream or crappie from the pond! Take time to enjoy the kayaks and paddle all over the pond, taking in all the relaxing scenery. Life jackets provided, but you will need to bring your own fishing poles/gear. All new furniture/appliances/furnishings/bedding/linens. Secluded, yet convenient to restaurants, shopping, entertainment. Baby care essentials provided (pack n play, high chair, booster seat). Pet friendly. Wifi and designated work space provided. Kitchen stocked with cooking essentials! Dishes (service for 8), glassware, utensils, pots and pans, bakeware and grill tools set. Small appliances include Keurig coffee maker (cup or pot), tea kettle, blender, microwave. Air purifier in living room. Fireplace in living room has electric insert - firewood is only used and needed for outdoor fire pit (we make every effort to provide firewood). This home is one of 3 homes located at Addis Acres, an 80 acre tract with an 8 acre pond. If you have a larger group, please also look at Shepherd's Lodge, which is just across the pond from Ruth's Cottage. The Lodge sleeps 12. We also have Joyce's Place, which also sleeps 12. Entry to house is non contact by using the smart lock on the door. You will be given your own code for the lock. The lock does have a camera on the front that faces the outside. Pet Policy: Up to 2 dogs are allowed, but dogs must be under 50lbs. each. There is a $100 pet cleaning fee per dog. Dogs must be kept off furniture. Please clean up after your dog outside - there are pet waste bags mounted to the deck railing as you go up walkway to home. Thank you! Need a place to stay for the big race? We are 13 miles from Atlanta Motor Speedway! In town for a wedding? We are very close to several venues: Mystic Acres, Sanctuaire Atelier, Mill Creek Venue, and Rockin' T Meadows. We offer a quiet setting, but are close to downtown Griffin. Enjoy shopping at the world famous Sock Shoppe as well as many unique antique stores. Take a stroll into history at the old Oak Hill Cemetery and see the grave of Doc Holiday and others who went down in history books, locally and beyond. Like to play golf? We are less than 10 minutes from Shoal Creek Golf Course and City Park Golf Course. We are 6 miles from the University of Georgia Griffin Campus and 15 miles from Gordon State College. Trilith Studios in Fayetteville is only 26 miles away. This unique community features filmmaking studios, shopping and dining, trails and parks. Explore the beautiful rolling terrain of Cherokee Rose, a premier sporting clays club that also offers Helice! Enjoy Pickleball? Nearby Wyomia Tyrus Park boasts world class Pickleball courts. For your safety, smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, fire extinguishers, first aid kits, insect repellant and flashlights are provided. Propane tank provided for grill. Tank will be full upon guest arrival. Should tank be depleted during your stay and more propane needed, it will be guest's responsibility to refill. Limited supplies of shampoo, conditioner, soap, laundry detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, garbage bags, coffee, and tea are provided. Damage Waiver: For your convenience, a nonrefundable damage waiver fee is included in your reservation, eliminating the need for a security deposit. The cottage was extremely beautiful and clean! The pictures do not do it justice!! It was cozy a great fit for my family and myself (my husband and our adult and teenage sons)…the atmosphere/pond/view was amazing! The location was great! Easy check-in and check out! We truly enjoyed our stay!! Thank you for allowing us to stay at Ruth’s Cottage! We highly recommend Ruth’s Cottage and we will definitely stay again!!

Courtney is a wonderful host! The house is beautiful with stylish touches and comfortable accommodations. The property has he most serene view of the pond, especially in the mornings with coffee! We will definitely being staying here again when we come to Griffin to visit family.

Stayed here for my wedding weekend with our wedding party. It was the perfect spot to have everyone together before and after the wedding! The property was beautiful with a large pond right on it. Instructions were perfectly clear, and it was a beautiful, isolated spot to spend time with friends and family.

The property has was so beautiful and peaceful. We stayed here for the weekend of our son’s wedding. The cottage was perfectly appointed, we had everything we could have ever needed. The place was super clean, thoughtfully designed. We’d love to come back and use even more of the amenities this place offers. Kayaks, fire pit, tons of outdoor seating.

Ruth’s House @ Addis Acres was an absolute blessing! The property exceeded all our expectations- spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished, fully stocked, and wonderfully pet friendly. Every detail was thoughtfully provided, making our stay so comfortable and relaxing. We loved unplugging from the world to spend quality time with our college daughters- sipping warm coffee by the lake on crisp fall mornings, fishing and kayaking during the day, walking the winding driveway with our pup, and ending evenings with gorgeous sunsets overlooking the golden fields and finally, being mesmerized by the crackling fire pit and stars above. The peaceful setting felt miles from civilization, yet we were just minutes from town. Truly a perfect fall getaway—thank you for sharing this special place!
