My daughter and I spent one night at Stravithie while visiting St. Andrews. The house and grounds are beautiful. Our room, on the basement level, was large and had a private kitchen, full sized closet, and en suite bathroom. We could walk out of the french doors from our bedroom to the backyard. A table in the room was already set for our private breakfast, and the breakfast had already been stocked in the kitchen before our arrival. We wished we could have stayed another night to enjoy the beauty of the room and surrounding, but we had to get back on the road.

A truly remarkable short-break experience enjoyed to the maximum due to the luxurious accommodation, idyllic setting and most welcoming hosts. Within easy distance of St Andrews and Anstruther. Exceptional and highly recommended. Go on, you deserve it.

This property presents the unique opportunity for a true Scottish experience in an authentic castle. Hosts were very friendly and extremely helpful. We just say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay! Highly recommended. 5 Star review!

A thoroughly enjoyable experience in every respect. Spotlessly clean with great attention to detail. It had that personal touch which is lacking in many establishments. The property was easy to locate due to the excellent communication from the owner. On arrival we were warmly greeted and given a short history of the property together with some very helpful housekeeping information. The accommodation was very spacious, comfortable and more than met our expectations. We will have no hesitation in returning should we be in the area at some future date. A most enjoyable and memorable experience.

Wonderful stay in this charming, quiet, self contained room. Good wi-fi, nice kitchen and good, modern bathroom. My only wish is that the room would have had a bath but I knew it didn’t at the time of booking, so no complaints.
Hosts were excellent, very friendly and were very respectful of privacy.
