Whitetail Lodge

Tucked behind groves of pines in the northern wilderness of Wisconsin you can find an oasis of a lodge in the Whitetail. The scenery and location of the hotel is unmatched with whitetails darting across the gravel bike and walking trails that line the hotel's perimeter. The rooms of the hotel are second to none: they are UNBELIEVABLY CLEAN, SPACIOUS, AND BEAUTIFULLY DECORATED. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The pool and hot tub spaces were not well used - and for why I don't know! They are well-sized, treated well with chemicals (not too much, not too little), and have beautiful views into the woods behind the hotel. Spacious common areas make up the hotel's lobby with nice seating. The breakfast was excellent. The bathrooms are slightly older, albeit quaint, but EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAN. The rooms had all the counter space you would want, plenty of outlets, comfortable beds, and a stunning walk-out patio. My family has traveled to St. Germain for years, and I think this might have just been our best stay yet. Keep up the WONDERFUL work, Whitetail Lodge! This is truly a special place.

We haven’t been to Saint Germain for almost 10 years and wanted to spend a long weekend in the area. My parents used to have a lake home here and we weren’t sure where to stay now that we no longer had that option. We decided on the Whitetail Lodge and were pleasantly surprised. This will be our go to place when we visit the area in the future. Clean, great staff, large rooms, coffee and continental breakfast each morning. Pool and hot tub area refreshing and relaxing. Fireplace in the room was great for the cooler evenings. King bed very comfortable.

Clean, great location, manager was friendly and wonderful. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub and close by to good food and golf which we will do this coming September. I had not been in Woodruff in over 30 years. Used to stay at my brother’s cabin off of E. He had passed but is buried in Woodruf because he loved it so much. We found White tail and stayed and will come back.

I can't say enough!! Amazing food and staff. The best Thanksgiving dinner that I have eaten out. Food was very homemade , just as if we had cooked it our self. Our waitress Shelly, wonderful person!! Sweet, fun, love her!! Will definitely be back.

We were going to come here for our 10 Year Anniversary. I booked a room and the girl informed me I didn't need a credit card or a deposit. Usually hotels ask for a card on file which I thought was odd. We were excited to visit this hotel. 2 days after making the reservation I got a call from the Manager stating they wanted a deposit. I had no problem putting a deposit down, however she was rude and not very polite. I believe her name was Kate. She also demanded the AARP discount ID number over the phone when it states online in person is fine. After all the errors and misinformation in addition to being treated with disrespect we canceled. Try the Best Western in Eagle River. Its a bit nicer and the staff are friendly.

First time here and won't be our last. We were on a motorcylce trip and this hotel was great. The girl at the front desk was very helpful and friendly and very informative. The hotel is extremely clean and quite. Just a really nice place.
