There is a mother-in-law at the B&B who understands simple English and is very kind. She also introduced some scenic spots. The B&B room is large and the environment is very clean and hygienic. But please note that you need to take stairs to get to the room on the second floor. The B&B has a bathhouse, which is subject to a pay-per-use fee. The location is moderate, opposite Kokubunji Temple. It takes about 6 minutes to walk from Takayama Station towards Kokubunji Temple. It is easy to find. From the B&B, you can walk to the Takayama Festival Hall, Kankawa Chaochi, Shimosan no Machi, etc., which is very convenient.
There was an incident. I booked a room that included breakfast, but the B&B did not provide breakfast. After that, I returned to Hong Kong to handle the matter. After contacting Trip.com customer service, I was able to get the relevant funds back quickly.
Guests are required to pay the room tax in addition to the room rate. Guests under 12 years old are exempt from the tax. For more information, please visit the Takayama City Hall website. Very nice hotel, cost-effective, located just opposite the Hirayuhan! I like the hotel's hot springs very much. We stayed at the Hirayuhan on the first day, and the Hirayuhan was full on the second day, so we moved here to stay another night! I personally think it is better than the Hirayuhan opposite! I will stay at this hotel next time I come

In terms of alpine, there is no other price near the station.
If you play alone and don't want to break the fee to book those hot spring hotels, it is very conscience.
The hotel is of course old, but there are some that are still recommended.

The hotel staff service is superb. The dinner was very rich and delicious. Breakfast because I have to get up early the next day to go to the Highlands, the time is not the time to provide breakfast at the hotel, the service staff said that they can prepare the next day's breakfast, thank them very much, and also help to confirm the bus time to the Highlands the next day. A Japanese-style hotel with a high CP value. The hotel's bathrobes are also very good.

Compared to general business travel in Japan, the space is spacious and has a very old-fashioned Japanese atmosphere. The facilities are quite old, but the environment is quite clean and dry. The hotel also has bubble baths in the men's and women's baths. My friend who likes bubble baths can use them before 0930. The hotel is behind the Fiumicino bus station (about 2 minutes walk). When we left the room, we were in the vicinity of the activity area around Pingyu, so the hotel made us leave our luggage (sorry, we are tenants in room 303 and have to take a bus to Takayama. So when I couldn't find the staff at the counter, I took my luggage and left a message at the counter, thank you!) Also, this hotel is in the annex. When you check in, you will be given one bubble bath roll (per person) from the main building. The main building is located directly in front of the Flybus Station (about 3 minutes walk). The main building has indoor and outdoor baths. The outdoor bath has a beautiful view. The temperature in the bubble bath was lower at night and it rained, so the bubble bath felt even more refreshing. I will visit again next time.

A family owned hotel with Japanese room and natural hot spring onsen near Shin-Hotaka Ropway. There are indoor bathrooms and open-air bathroom with natural hot spring water. Good environmental open-air hot spring bath, the rooms are little bit run down but comfortable. He took me to Ropway station after checked-out.

Amazing
GGuest UserThe hotel is 15 minutes walk from the railway station bus stop, and the scenery along the way is beautiful. The hotel is run by several elderly people. It is already a 65-year-old hotel. Starting from the boss's grandfather, the house has a history of 125 years and is very Japanese. The ornaments in the house can be shot for an hour. There is a special doll, and I am fortunate to see the dolls of the boys' day. The old people are very enthusiastic, the breakfast is delicious, it is served by a Japanese grandmother. It is really like a grandmother in anime. It is very similar to talking and walking. The breakfast is very harmonious. I still remember the fish.
WWenjing_susieTransportation: After arriving at Takayama Bus Station, take a bus to Fukuchi Onsenkou, which is about an hour's drive. You can see the hotel when you get off the bus, which is very convenient.
Environment: Traditional Japanese inn, the overall environment is good, and the wood is very elegant. The facilities in the room are a bit old, but clean. The room is quite large. The hot springs are divided into indoor and outdoor, and there are two private baths. There is no extra charge. You can go in and use them when no one is there. You can enjoy the public pool alone during non-peak hours, which is very comfortable. Since the hotel is far away from the bus terminal, there are more local tourists than hotels near the terminal. There are fewer people overall and the experience is good.
Service: Non-Japanese native speakers have difficulty communicating, and the waiters generally do not understand English, so it is difficult to provide services. The service is not very enthusiastic, but it can basically meet the needs. There is no bed-making service at night, so you need to do it yourself.
Food and Beverage: The room rate includes two meals, which is very cost-effective. Breakfast and dinner are both Japanese, and dinner includes Hida beef. The quantity is quite large, and you can eat full, and the taste is acceptable.
The overall level is good, especially the price is very affordable among all hot spring hotels. It is a choice I would recommend to my friends.
看看山看水看雲Excellent hostel. Just 3-4 mins away from the Takayama station. Easy to find. Very helpful staff who explained everything and answered all my queries. Two clean bedsheets n a clean pillow case given when checked in. The staff reminded me to sleep in between the two bedsheets, which was very reassuring. The single 'cabin' is spacious n clean. Didn't feel stuffy or itchy. Best hostel ever stayed.
AAnonymous UserJapanese-style Ryokan. As indicated by hotel, no private bathroom or sink is provided and has ”curfew” at 11pm. Public bath is quite small (3pax for male, 2pax for female) but very large for pax count with an indoor and outdoor bath area. Area is not near public transport but is on the same side and near Miyagawa Morning Market and Sake Breweries (~10min).
GGregorio GastaldiA very nice place with a warm feeling, beginning with the kind staff. Gerard specially is a wonderful host. The kitchen is great, big and full equipped. I loved the small garden and the dinning or resting place full of board games. There is also a traditional Japanese stove to cook for rent. Location is good. If I need to name one disadvantage I could say that both the beds and floors are noisy while moving. I tried not to but every step or movement in the bed was heard. Of course, it’s an old house and makes sense but still is the only thing I could say, the rest perfect and 100% recommended. Even the other guests were all fun.
GGuest UserPure self-service remote check-in, convenient and flexible management mode. Although Airbnb is unmanaged, the overall facilities, hygiene, kitchen, lobby and other details are in place, bringing convenience and self-discipline to travelers.
The location is about 12 minutes' walk from the JR station, which is a bit far. It is very close to the morning market, Takayama Jinya, etc. If you are in a room with a river window, you can directly see the morning market, which is very convenient.
XXiaoguaiguaijannieThere were no rooms available around the Takayama Festival, so I chose this place which is more than 10km away from Takayama. Due to traffic control, I arrived at the hotel at 9 o'clock and thought I couldn't have dinner, but the store was very thoughtful and helped me reserve dinner. When I entered the restaurant, I found that I was not the last to check in, and there was a table next door that had not been eaten.
There are no bathroom facilities in the house, so I have to run out to wash, which is a bit troublesome. Everything else is good.
GGuest UserI think it's a good room. At first I was worried that if I had to sleep with others, it would be noisy, but everyone was very quiet and I slept very well. The bed was quite easy to sleep on, and there were towels, toothpaste, and toothbrushes provided. I was quite satisfied.
DDuboisTristanThis place was absolute amazing! By far our favorite place from our whole trip. The location was absolutely perfect for the Takyama festival. We were literally right there with shops and street vendors 50 yards away and the parades would have been right there as well if they weren't canceled due to rain. The rooms were humble and traditional and really added to the experience. The tea in the room was exceptionally good and the traditional Japanese breakfast they served was also delicious and fun to eat. We didn't even know they had a legitimate hot spring on site, but they did! They are Japanese style baths so be ready for that, but the water was therapeutic and so relaxing. I cant recommend this place enough and I would absolute make it a point to visit Takyama and stay here again for a few days on our next trip to Japan. They were such great kind hosts. And I cant believe the price, what an great value. Do yourself a favor and stay here. I'm not sure why the other bad reviews are here I read some of them and they sound like entitled stupid American tourists so ignore them and stay here.
GGuest UserAn onsen ryokan in a remote place. It seems to be stuck in the 1960s, but that's what its charm is! This is an unassuming, humble onsen with basic facilities, but the staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the food was superb. It's a great stop on a multi-day trip.
