During high water, there can be up to 5 waterfalls flowing from that rock formation. Of course, the Ocean puts on a VERY SPECIAL SHOW during the Winter months. Especially during the storms! There are miles of picture-postcard sandy beaches in both directions, within 2 miles both north & south of Depoe Bay. The Local Charter Boats come into our view to Watch the Whales You should plan your visits to the beach before noon because the northern Trade Winds average about 10+ MPH in the afternoon during the summer months. Enjoy Whale watching, either from your vacation home or with any one of the many fine charter boats docked in the World's smallest natural, navigable harbor. Depoe Bay is located in an oceanfront, deep water, rocky coastline area. There are carpeted stairs with a double-hand railing up to the other two sleeping areas. There is a loft & a private bedroom.
