Summit Condos #106A - New Day DawnsNew Day Dawns condo is conveniently located across the street from Snowshoe Village with easy access to the central ski area including the Skidder Ski School area. (Here is a Google exact location marker ... https://goo.gl/maps/WDZBgrqu232q3Uhp6 ) A FREE shuttle picks up just outside the condo adjacent to the parking area for Summit. You will be given two parking passes for your vehicles. (There is an overflow parking lot not far away for an extra vehicle.) New Day Dawns is located on the first floor which is one flight of stairs down from the parking area (or a short walk to the side where there are two steps). The unit is NOT “handicap accessible” but could be negotiated by some with physical limitations.Upon entering, a “lock-out” area is available for ski gear and clothing after your day skiing or boarding. A second door opens into the hallway where you will find 3 bedrooms (1-Q, 1-F/D, & 2-Twins) and 2 full baths for your stay. Fresh quality linens adorn the beds (duvet system) and a healthy selection of pillows of varying firmness are provided. This condo accommodates up to 8 people (if you wish to add up to 2 more, this must be approved by the owner). Bathrooms have linens and basic supplies though you should bring your favorite soaps and shampoos. In the hallway, a washer/dryer is available for your use (please bring your own detergent and dryer sheets). Extra linens and pillows are also located on the linen shelves next to the W/D..The living room is spacious with a comfortable couch that expands into a queen-sized bed for an additional guest. An inflatable queen-sized mattress is also available. Rounding out the room is a leather double recliner couch, coffee table, and side tables. A beautiful and functional gas fireplace is there for your use to provide just the right temperature for your group chats or while you watch movies or cable TV on the flat-screen TV. Wifi and cable are provided.The dining room is small and seats 6 comfortably, but there is also seating for three at the kitchen bar. A pantry is provided in this area to store items for your meals. The Kitchen is galley-style with all amenities: coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, stovetop/oven, mixer, blender, a smaller slow-cooker, and a few more items to make those hearty and yummy meals. Basic spices are provided and you are welcome to leave behind any non-perishable cooking supplies as a gift for future guests. Basic kitchen-related items are provided (dish & dishwasher detergent, garbage bags, coffee filters, etc.) There are plenty of pots, pans, and utensils to make things easy for you. I would suggest bringing your own omelet pan or other “necessary” cookware as nothing is like what you love using at home ;) … but I try to provide quality items as backups. A landline phone is also made available as mobile service is negligible on Snowshoe Mountain.One of the best parts of Snowshoe’s Summit Condos, besides being conveniently located to the Village, is the amazing western views! A deck is just outside the Living Room through a large glass door that reveals the setting sun, dropping over the western mountains and dark green conifers adorning the valley below (the last few photos were shot from the deck). Four deck chairs and table are available (along with using the dining room chairs) to gather together for drinks on the deck. PLEASE NOTE: the hot tub, pools, and sauna are communal and are located in the Village at Split Rock Pools and Sauna and there is a $16.20 fee, per person. Welcome to our condo located on the second floor, #207 in Soaring Eagle. Soaring Eagle has it all! It is Ski-In and Ski-Out...Soaring Eagle High Speed Quad Lift is only approximately 30 yards from the locker room. Soaring Eagle Lodge is notable for its outstanding Concierge staff, attention to detail, indoor fitness center, three outdoor hot tubs, firepit, the Hearth Room with gigantic fireplaces and dazzling mountaintop views. Restaurant and bar on site. There is also an on-site ski shop with rentals available. Our condo has a large living and dining area, large kitchen, 2 spacious bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with large stall showers, and an oversize soaking tub in the master bathroom, and a full washer and dryer.The private master bedroom has a king size bed, and a 42" flat screen TV . There is a private bathroom with a separate shower and an oversize soaking tub for relaxing after a long day of skiing or summer fun.The second bedroom has a full bed and two twin bunk beds on top. The top bunkbeds are made for children and Not adults. It is a wonderful room for kids to enjoy with a reading nook, beanbag, and TV.In the living room, there is a pull-out sleeper sofa as well.Enjoy good company and warm atmosphere in the exclusive Hearth Room, the in house private lounge located next to the Soaring Eagle main lobby. Both of the bedrooms and the living room are equipped with flat screen TV's, with lots of high definition channels and premium channels included in the lineup.The kitchen is well stocked and includes a crock-pot, waffle maker, blender, toaster, coffee maker, and Keurig. There is not a dining room table, just the bar with stools and a coffee table that rises up to add four extra places to sit and eat.There are two full bathrooms with a combination tub/shower in each.The condo has a built-in ski rack with lots of extra hooks.We have a washer/dryer located in the condo along with a boot dryer. Coin-operated laundry facilities are located down the hall by the elevator for larger loads.Just a reminder...this is a mountain condo, and it does NOT have air-conditioning. There are several box fans provided. Split Rock Pools and hot tubs are right next door. You must pay an additional daily fee to access this amenity.Mountain Lodge has its own security-guarded parking lot for Mountain Lodge guests. Snowshoe is in the middle of nowhere. Plan ahead and bring anything you might need. There is a small general store a short walk across the parking lot, where you will be able to purchase some groceries. There is a Dollar General at the bottom of the Snowshoe Mountain about 10 to 15 minute drive. The full size grocery store and liquor store is a little over 30 minutes away from Mountain Lodge in Marlinton. Cell service is limited due to the mountainous terrain. AT&T is the best service provider. Verizon service is limited in the area, but generally available in the village.The Lodge offers a spacious lobby with a large stone fireplace that is a perfect location for family fun. ML features a skating rink with artificial ice in the atrium area; a game room offering over 30 video games and amusements and a children's play area. Tickets for ice skating and the playground can be purchased online or at the front desk.The guest service desk is open 24 hours in season to serve you with, retail items, and area information.Mountain Lodge Guests are strictly prohibited from having animals of any kind in Mountain Lodge.Smoking, vaping, any tobacco products or marijuana are strictly prohibited anywhere in Mountain Lodge or within 25 feet of the building. This includes no smoking vaping or marijuana on the decks. Bikes are not allowed in the building. Storage for bikes is available in the shed in our parking lot. Replacements and/or additional supplies are available for a fee at the front desk.Snowshoe is the island in the sky. The village is at the top of the mountain. Mountain Lodge provides a truly unique ski in and ski out experience. You can wake up in the morning and grab your skis, take a few steps to the slope, and ski down the mountain without first riding the lift. You can walk to the village to experience dining, shopping, and a fun atmosphere.Our condo has its own free dedicated internet in the condo with wireless router so you don't have to worry about the strength of the Mountain Lodge wi-fi.
