It is 179 acres with a maximum depth of 24 feet. Cable Lake is home to panfish, largemouth bass, northern pike, and an occasional walleye.Enjoy the beautiful scenery and sounds while sitting in the screened porch with the lake wrapping around both sides of the cabin. Enjoy the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life! Imagine waking up to the sounds of the loons on the lake, grabbing a cup of coffee and sitting on the porch taking in the beautiful views of the lake and woods. Our 3- bedroom, 2-bath cottage sleeps 7 comfortably (2 queen, 1full, 1 single bed). The Cottage is one level with 7 steps up to the deck to access the front door. The house is located on Beaver Lake with direct access to the public boat launch, beach, picnic area, and children’s playground just a few hundred feet away. You really get the best of both worlds here as the house is next to the lake but is also a 7-mile drive to downtown Hayward and all the other attractions, festivals, etc!!The spaceThis is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath cottage. The primary bedroom has a queen bed and the ensuite bathroom has a shower and garden tub. The second bedroom also has a queen bed. The third bedroom has a full and twin bed. They share the main bathroom which has a full-size shower and bench.Guest accessYou will access the cottage with an electronic keypad on the front door off the deck- code and more detailed instructions will be given to you prior to your stay. There is a driveway and a parking area along the side of the house for easier unloading. The driveway is big enough to park 2 vehicles and trailers. You can also park on Spruce Lane which is the road that the side parking is on. It is a quiet road.Other things to noteThe indoor fireplace is not currently usable. We totally understand that some guests may want to use it. Unfortunately, it poses too many risks and potential issues for regular use. There is a large firepit outside that you are welcome to use! Thanks for understanding!FAQS:Q: Can we check-in early or check-out late?A: It depends. Check in is at 3pm. We really would love for it to be earlier and can occasionally accommodate that but not often (our cleaner is busy!). Ask me and we will do our best to let you know as soon as your cabin is available. We and our cleaning staff have strict protocols to follow and can't always have the cabin ready earlier than 3PM. Feel free to spend time at the beach beforehand but please allow our cleaning crew the space they need to get things ready for your stay. Check out is at 11AM! The public dock is right there as well. The lake is about 16 feet at its deepest point. Q: Is there enough room to park a boat/trailer?A: Yes! The driveway is large enough for several vehicles and trailers. There is also room on Spruce Lane.Q: Do we have a boat landing?A: This is a public boat launch and dock. Enjoy a quiet, relaxing time in the north woods of Hayward, WI! Our 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin sleeps six comfortably (2 queen beds and a pullout sleeper sofa). This year-round house is ground level and about 1300 square ft. The house is located on Beaver Lake with a 32' dock and the public beach and boat launch is about 7 houses away. You really get the best of both worlds here as the house is about 70 feet from the lake but is also a short driving distance to downtown Hayward and other attractions!!The spaceThis is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin. The primary bedroom has a queen log bed and the other bedroom is part of the great room. The great room is a fully converted attached garage with a queen bed set up in there as well as a couch, chairs and TV. A great place for the kids to hang or the doors can be shut for full privacy. There is a pull out couch in the living room. The kitchen is open concept and stocked with just about everything you would need to cook a full meal. There is a 2 burner Weber grill on the patio for grilling as well as a charcoal grill. The patio also has a small fire pit. The bathroom was just completely remodeled with tub/shower combo.Guest accessI am still trying to preserve the original front door so access is with a key that will be in a lock box mounted just to the left of the door. There will be another key on the counter you can take with you during your stay so you don't have to keep putting the key back in the lock box. The code and more detailed instructions will be given to you prior to your stay. There is a paved driveway and the ability to park 3 vehicles without blocking someone in. There is also room for a trailer and a portion of the lawn by the road can be used if needed.Other things to noteThe indoor fireplaces have not been cleaned or cleared for use and are currently inoperable, but will be looked into this fall. An outside fire is welcomed! There is the small fire pit on the patio and a 100 gallon stock tank set up by the lake for the bigger fire bugs!FAQS:Q: Can we check-in early or check-out late?A: It depends. Check in is at 3pm. Located at the end of the road, you are surrounded by 10 acres of wooded property on this peaceful lake, with over 400 feet of shoreline. With westward facing lakefront views, there is an amazing view all year!Updates:- A growler from the Angry Minnow (www.angryminnow.com), local brewery, is available in the kitchen for your use. Stop by the AM for a bite and a brew, and bring some back to the cabin to enjoy around the fireplace or fire pit. Our plow service is excellent (plowed with 4" or more of snow), and sanding is available if there is significant ice.Six guests can be accommodated by the king bed (loft) and two pull-out queen sofa sleepers: one each in the living room and family room (which doubles as a bedroom). And these aren't your grandparents' pull-out beds! From Room & Board, both sofa sleepers have premium, high-resiliency foam mattress with a quilted cotton cover for superior comfort with no bars or springs.For extra guests (up to eight guests total) there is ample room to utilize the inflatable queen mattress in the loft or in the family room. There is one full bathroom on the main floor, and a 3/4 bath off the family room, along with full laundry facilities and room for equipment/luggage storage.The kitchen is well-stocked and supplied with pots, pans, cooking utensils, toaster, microwave, service for eight (both indoor and outdoor dishes for an impromptu picnic), and plenty of mugs, wine glasses, beer glasses and tumblers for your beverages. The deck and enclosed porch are furnished with seating for 6-8, along with a propane grill. There is a fire pit and stacked firewood between the cabin and the lake shore, and the area has been carefully cleared to maximize the view of the lake while maintaining the privacy and natural beauty that attracted us to the area. Landscaping efforts are yet underway!Take a walk along the moss-covered path in the summer, through the leaves of the oak, serviceberry and birch trees in all their autumn glory, along the snow-covered woods in winter, and in the spring, over the emerging flora of the Northwoods. Listen for bullfrogs, songbirds, owls and loons. Watch for wildlife: Sightings of bear, deer, beavers, swans, owls, and turkeys aren’t unusual.
