"The hotel is conveniently located near Sha Tin Plaza, making it a great base for shopping and exploring the area. The location is definitely a big plus. However, the room felt a bit outdated—the walls had some yellowing and small cracks, and the overall cleanliness was okay but not outstanding. I’d rate it 7 out of 10 for cleanliness. It’s decent for a short stay, but there’s room for improvement in maintenance and upkeep."

"A practical and efficient choice for business travelers cause the hotel is located in the industrial area. Its major advantage is the convenient 20-minute walk to Kwai Hing MTR station, perfect for travelers with light luggage. Service is standard —nothing exceptional. The room where i stayed was compact and clean."

"It was a pretty decent hotel stay, we had a good room at the 12/F, Japan-themed. If the rooms are sold out, you can’t really choose which theme you could stay in. In the photos below are the design at the Greece-themed floor including the fitness centre. The last photo showed me on the Japan-themed guest room with a view of Tuen Mun.
Although I can say on the last night of our stay, we asked the engineering department to fix our weakening water pressure for the shower. They changed it immediately but it seemed like they knew the problem beforehand and were just waiting for guests to complain about it much later so they can actually repair it.
Overall the stay was good. I recommend if you want a simple breakfast, then you can enjoy their food. We tried their buffet breakfast for two days, their lunch and dinner buffet once each, and we never ate there again. Considering we stayed for almost 3 weeks (20 days consecutively) since mid-July 2025 under other bookings."

"A Truly Reliable Hotel
My family and I have just returned from our fifth stay at the Regal Hotel Kowloon, and it consistently exceeds our expectations. It has firmly become our go-to home whenever we're in Hong Kong.
First and foremost, the value for money is outstanding. In a city known for its compact spaces, the rooms at the Regal are surprisingly spacious and always well-appointed. You truly get more room to relax compared to other hotels in this category.
What truly makes the Regal special, however, is its people. The staff are exemplary in their professionalism and courtesy. From the housekeeping team to the porters, everyone offers a warm and polite greeting. A special commendation must go to the Front Desk staff—they are efficient, incredibly helpful, and always have a solution-ready attitude that makes check-in and any queries a complete breeze.
The location is another massive win. You are immersed in a vibrant local neighbourhood with a fantastic array of authentic Hong Kong restaurants right on your doorstep. And when you're ready for some retail therapy, the prime shopping districts are just a short and pleasant walk away, making it the perfect base to explore from."

"Sub-par hotel that met the minimum requirements to reach '4-stars'. The bathroom didn't drain well and the pillows smelled of mould. The air-con temperature cannot be adjusted, only the fan speed. The journey to the gym and pool in itself is inefficient, requiring you to sign a form at reception (Ground floor), then having the staff accompany you to the lift so that they can scan their card to allow you access to the gym & pool floor (your own card does not allow access).
Almost all signs (including the restaurant) is in Chinese."

"I am currently pregnant and came back to Hong Kong to visit family before giving birth.
The hotel staff is very accommodating and considerate, they upgraded me to a hardwood floor room for better safety. The room is much bigger than a normal hk hotel room. Room services are available everyday and the cleaning ladies are very nice.
The environment is quiet and convenient, as there’s lots of restaurants just right downstairs in the shopping mall. Delivery is also available and can be picked up at the hotel 24 hours reception. I extended my stay 3 times 6+7+3 nights.

CCoconut331First time staying here - the room is decent and clean. The bathroom is more spacious than average 4 star hotel. There are tables and a sofa which not a lot of 4 star hotel will provide.
And the best part of my stay is the bed. It is the most comfortable bed I’ve slept by far among all the 4 star hotels I lived in.
Overall speaking, trip ranked this as top 20 4-star hotel and I think this speaks for itself.
A bit sad that the swimming pool is closed due to renovation. But amenities are great, there are gym room, swimming pool and even massage service.

FFourdannaUnbeatable Views, Exceptional Staff & Prime Location A Hong Kong Gem!
1/ Breathtaking Hong Kong Views: Woke up to stunning city/harbour vistas every morning—absolutely worth it!
2/Staff Excellence: Every team member was both genuinely friendly *and* highly professional. They elevated our stay with their attentive service. Both at the check in/out and at the cafe
3/Prime Location, located in a quiet area but right above Admiralty and steps from Central. Unbeatable convenience for exploring/shopping!
4/Surprising Value:** Rare to find such quality at this price point in Hong Kong.
Minor Considerations
• No bell service/luggage assistance—be prepared to handle bags yourself.
• Limited amenities (no pool, limited toiletries) —but rooms are equipped for comfort.

JJonathanThe Mongkok Holiday Inn Express is a short walk down Dundas Street from the Yau Ma Tei metro -- f you have heavy suitcases, you are better off getting a taxi from the Kowloon Airport Express station. I moved here because the prices at the Golden Mile Holiday Inn were climbing through the roof over Christmas, and the Mongkok Holiday Inn was almost half the price. Very friendly and accommodating staff, who looked after my luggage through several comings and goings, saving me almost another £100 on storage fees. Breakfast is a choice from a set menu rather than a buffet, but it was nice enough. I'll definitely stay here again.... in fact, I will stay here again the day after tomorrow!

KKrivI recently stayed at the Rosedale Hotel in Hong Kong for two nights and found it to be a pleasant experience. The rooms are cozy and sufficient for a short stay. The bedding was clean, and the overall ambiance was comfortable.
One of the standout features is its location. It’s approximately a 10 minute walk from the MTR Station, making it easy to navigate the city. Additionally, the hotel is within walking distance to the Hong Kong Stadium, which was convenient for attending events.
The area around the hotel is convenient, with two 7-Eleven stores nearby. There are also several restaurants in close proximity, offering a variety of dining options.

Towels provided. unlimited Coffee at 3rd floor by check in ... suitcase storage available. Room service ladies are also 👍 good.
Ask for a room away from the elevator, the elevator can be noisy at night.

FFarahaniBitaVery nice hotel, however inside the room was a bit oldish furniture, not feeling very 100% clean to put my staff if it’s necessary on the floor.. nice view, with a pool.. you need to take a shuttle bus or bus to go to MRT to go to all other places, however it’s close to the airport. Staff are very respectful and friendly. Reasonable price, I will be back again however I will consider the distance from iconic spots as this was difficult when I wanted to return late as I had to take Uber which added to the price , the rest was easy and fun.

CChaiVHotel is pretty decent for HK and the price we paid, considering holiday season. But disappointed for a 4-Star chain standards.
All basic facilities are provided. No frills. More like a 3-star than a 4-star.
Shuttle makes it easier to get to shopping centre, closer to trains and buses to the city.
Pool is only open during specific hours but they do have a lifeguard in duty so I’m not sure if I can complain.
Gym has bare minimum equipment.
They did mention we got an upgrade but the room is similar to what we booked. It’s a modern-tiny space-saving design room so it’s smart but annoying with the lack of cupboards, floor space etc. Everything in the room is tightly packed. You just get in, sleep an get out but that’s Hong Kong I guess.

GGuest UserThis is my 4th stay in a room on the 39th floor. Everything was fine before. Unfortunately, this time I had to spend a lot of time and nerves, which was not part of my plans. The pool on the 39th floor next to the room was used by a homeless person to spend the night. In addition, he smoked, shook ashes into the pool, and drank alcohol. All this happened on the only sun lounger. This is only what I saw passing by in the evening and at night. Unfortunately, the staff could not solve the problem the first time I asked and I had to ask for help at least 5 times. In the end, they offered me to act as a surveillance camera and if a homeless person appears, to inform them. Thank you very much. Of course, I understand the mentality of people in Hong Kong, but in China, I can hardly even imagine such a situation. I strongly advise against using this pool and staying on the top floor due to a serious security breach. Anyone from the street can enter your territory, since it is separated only by a low partition. My things were not in the room, but after entering the door. Unfortunately, after leaving, I discovered that a bottle of perfume was missing. The money and documents were in the safe, everything was fine with them. I think this is due to this person entering my territory. I closed the door to the room at night and the balcony. Perhaps this saved my valuables. In the middle of my vacation, I found a huge cockroach in the bathroom. It was really gigantic. Thanks to the cleaning service. They were able to catch it and take it away. I hope the hotel management will take appropriate measures to ensure the safety of guests. Therefore, I will not give a bad rating to my favorite chain.
I usually don't write reviews about hotels. And in such detail. But this time my wife made me write. She serves in the police and is very attentive to security issues. She said that she was very worried about having a stranger nearby. I think this is an exaggeration. She was probably offended that she was not congratulated on her birthday in this hotel, as she is used to in other hotels with a card or a compliment. She just happened to have a birthday when she checked in 😁😁😁

AAprilcykThe room is really small and dated. The sink is separate from the toilet. Booked a double bed room but was told that they do not have any rooms left and gave us a twin room and will help to move the two beds together. Each of us have a 20inch luggage and we barely have enough place to open the luggage. The slippers provided were so thin they broke when they got wet. Bed sheets with stain and hairs, no additional pillows provided. Shower area was really small that when you closed the curtain, it will kept stick to you skin during your shower, and water kept going out to the toilet area making the whole bathroom wet. The shampoo provided has a strong odour, the conditioner is not like the usual conditioner, the shower gel is still acceptable. No place except for the rack above the toilet that we can hang our clothes, just a few hooks at the corner of the bedroom. Hairdryer is provided.
We were travelling for 10 days but we will be visiting Macau for a night so we had two bookings. For the first booking, we saw a cockroach on the 2nd night, so when we check in on our 2nd booking, I informed the receptionist that we do not want the same floor (23th floor) and was given another floor, and was finally given a double bed room.
Double bedroom is the same size as the twin bedroom, there's a really small bathtub and it helped with the curtain as it did not stick to my skin during my shower. And the sink is placed inside the bathroom, and there's a steel with hangers at the area which was originally the sink area for twin bedroom. This bedroom layout is way much better although the room is small.
The hotel is really near to Tsim Sha Tsui, walking distance, but was really hot in the Summer. There's a miniso just around the metro station. And also walking distance to my favourite dessert milk pudding at Australia Dairy Co.
A thing to note, I called to ask if we could leave our luggage at the hotel overnight because we will be coming back from Macau to stay for another 4 nights, they said we could but never mentioned any charges. I thought it would be free as we are returning customers but when we were there in the concierge to place the luggage, we were told that we have to pay HKD20 per piece for overnight, I told the staff we called but did not mention anything that we have to pay, he said there will be no charges for luggage that will be collected on the same day but there will be charges for luggage for overnight.
Overall, if you're just looking for a place to stay for the night, then go for it. If you're looking for a better room environment, I would suggest other hotels.
