The Hilton Garden Inn in Birmingham offers a satisfactory stay with comfortable rooms and decent amenities. However, some areas could use improvement, like the breakfast variety and overall ambiance. A medium recommendation for a basic, reliable option.

What a gem! Literally direct opposite one of the rear entrances of the grand New Street Station, up the stairs/lift into a little arcade of shops (nail bar/hair salon and luxury watches) and the hotel entrance. The check in lobby is nothing much impressive but the overall building and decor with high ceilings, big staircases and marble surfaces are albeit a bit outdated in tone, still much preferable to us. The room is very spacious and the bathroom with Elemis supplied soap walk-shower and self-standing bathtub is the biggest we’ve ever been into. The hotel bar, restaurant and breakfast area are located on the first floor looking over the New Street pedestrian shopping street and the staff are very good. Room was spacious. Views were amazing. Staff were very helpful as I had a massive bouquet of flowers. 1 lady at Reception helped loads unfortunately we didn't get her name. Thank you.

This was the second times I stayed in this hotel and found the staff very welcoming and friendly, which made check-in smooth and pleasant. The location is excellent—convenient for exploring the area and close to local attractions. The only downside was the noise at night, likely from nearby bars, which might be a consideration for light sleepers. Overall, a good spot for a short stay if you’re looking for comfort and accessibility.

The staff was great, The room size is ok but the bathroom is not good because when you showered the water will splash out and almost flow out from the bathroom. Air conditioning is not working during my staying and it’s summer!🥵
