In summary, I quite enjoy staying in this hotel. If it’s going to renovate, it would be much much better.
The hotel is located near the sea side, allowing it has a spectacular sea view. But it’s not convenient for people going from station to the hotel on foot. I had a baby and two pieces of big luggage. Exhausted when I got to the hotel. What’s more, I need to climb down 10+ steps to get to use the elevator.
The room seating is good if the condition is 20years newer. The combination of Japanese and western style is my cup of tea. But I have to admit that the onsen is good.if it can be operated longer, it would be better.
The highlight of the hotel is its breakfast. I didn’t expect much. But it ended up suprise me. Food choice was great, environment was great and the food was great!

I suppose the charm of Atami is that the whole area is a little bit 'dated' as far as a resort goes, and this hotel definitely aligns with that - it seems like a place that was once great and is now kind of just rolling along bringing in what money it can.
The food is serviceable but totally uninspired - an upscale cafeteria masquerading as something better than it is with 'chefs' wearing their whites. The entire dining room constantly smells of fryer oil from the tempura - which they still make and keep stock of in such large quantities that it is never fresh and crispy anyways (especially the shrimp, which has not been sufficiently dried before battering). The remaining hot dishes are very disappointing both in terms of variety and overall flavor. The sushi and sashimi is the standout of the food, although it too is very basic - not anything that will blow your mind, but acceptably tasty and reasonably fresh (although on our second night everything tasted a bit soapy/bleachy). As a westerner you will be very disappointed by the breakfast, although that's a 'me' problem rather than a hotel problem per se.
The spa facilities are nice but a bit dated - be careful in your selection of both time and location unless you want to be surrounded with many loud (mostly Chinese) children. Private spas are available and are quite nice, although again dated. Nonetheless at around 60 USD for an hour the price is good for the privacy, especially as a westerner who is otherwise subject to quite a bit of staring at this mostly local and Chinese spa.
We stayed in a deluxe king room, which was spacious with an enormous and comfortable bed, and a (For japan) reasonably sized tub. Room and desk service was good.
The hotel is a bit off the beaten path but has regular free shuttles to/from Atami station, which is where the main tourist streets for shopping etc can be found. Highly suggest checking out Golden Eye for some excellent Ramen.

The hotel was great, wonderful service, good food, nice staff overall, however, Fuua spa was a bit disappoint with no extra towels to use. I would suggest to bring a bottle of drinking water or you would have to purchase. We stayed in the mountain side because it was cheaper but the ocean view would be great. You can see ropeway going up and down on the mountain side. Bus runs for free between the station and the hotel every 20 minutes or so. No reservation needed. It’s right in front of McDonalds at the station. Bus is not large. I would suggest to get there a bit early if you want to sit with your company together.
You have a half off ropeway discount in the card you get at the check in counter so don’t throw it away after check out the hotel :)

Check-in was surprisingly smooth. The room was spacious and easy to use, but there were a few things I thought were a bit off: I probably won't return.
- Two of the eight lockers in the large communal bath were broken.
- There were only four washing areas, so you basically had to stand while taking a shower. There was a chair, but it was hard to use because the height was not right for the shower hook. There was no mirror in the washing booth.
- The water was too hot to stay in. People around me had the same reaction. The sound of the drainage was so loud that you couldn't hear the healing music.
- There was no alcohol in the vending machines. The free drinks in the lounge were removed at 10pm, so it was a pain if you forgot to buy some at the convenience store.

Compared with the off-season price of more than 1,700 yuan, it is not worth it. It does not have the thoughtful details of Japanese hotels, the decoration is sloppy, the sanitary ware is also made in China, it is not clean enough, the corridor has a fishy smell, and it is some way away from the sea. There is no WiFi, and I don’t even want to leave a bottle of mineral water.
Unless you especially like seafood, the buffet is nice, but for people like us who are not greedy for food, it doesn't make sense.

The food was so good! I was really moved. It is a seaside town. Unlimited seafood, freshly grilled and eaten, so great! There is a semi-open-air hot spring, which is very comfortable. I soaked in it twice a day, haha! The room is very spacious. It is a Japanese-Western style room for three people. In fact, it can also accommodate five people. The tatami is very spacious, more than enough to sleep three people.

The hotel has a wabi-sabi design, comfortable rooms, elegant environment, clean and tidy, convenient transportation, first-class service, delicious food, and a hot spring resort that you would want to stay in again! The hotel's Japanese breakfast is varied (stayed for four days, and it was different every day!), healthy and fresh; the reserved Japanese dinner is elegant, leisurely, full of ritual sense, and worthy of being called ”cooking”! The hotel room has a Lutian bath, which is clean and convenient. It is very relaxing and relaxing every day... In short, this modern Japanese hotel is the first choice for vacation!

The facilities were kept clean and we had a comfortable stay. In particular, the bathing facilities had free-flowing hot spring water, which was very pleasant.
The food was also well thought out and we were very satisfied with the price.
Overall, the service was good and we would like to stay here again.

There are two LIVE MAX in Atami, not far away. According to the local driver, one can see the fireworks from the front.
Our room is 502, and it can indeed be seen, but you need to stand on the balcony. It is estimated that 501 and 503 in the same direction can also see it. The remaining rooms are facing the other direction. The layout of the guest rooms in the hotel is L-shaped. You can see the fireworks on the short side of the L, but you should not be able to see them on the long side. But you can go up to the rooftop on the 9th floor to see them.
The hotel's washbasin is very small, but it provides a lot of practical things~ Toothbrushes are not good, the bristles are very hard...
The breakfast restaurant is not big, there are dining restrictions, 60 minutes per time
The hotel's bathroom... is transparent, you can watch people running along the coast while taking a shower 🏃 If you mind, try to choose a high floor. The staff said that because of the angle, the downstairs can't see the upstairs

The location is excellent.
The rooms are very clean, and although they are small, everything is well-equipped and there is nothing wasted. It is clean, and the open-air bath was also very pleasant. I would definitely like to use it again.

Amazing
WWEIJUNThe service and meals are very good, the invincible sea view room, and the open air bathing soup are all good experiences. It is not enough to go into the hotel, and it is not enough to eat and drink. Both meals are in the room, the service is super good, and the level of cooking is quite high. I took a photo and it seems that it is too big to be transmitted. Anyway, the visual taste is good.
NN HaTraditional hot spring-style inn, all meals in the room. The room has 2 floors, the lower level is the dining area, the upper level is the bedroom, washroom, bathroom, and a small patio area overlooking the beach. From Atami Station to the inn, it takes about 10 minutes to drag your luggage around the road. It takes about 5 minutes to walk up the stairs without luggage. It's about a 10-minute walk from the guesthouse to Atami Sunshine Beach to watch the fireworks festival. The inn staff was courteous, explaining what each dish was and how it should be eaten, and reminding us that it was time to leave for the fireworks festival. Although the cost of accommodation was greatly increased due to the fireworks festival, it was a good stay experience overall.
TTessIt is a long way from the station, because it is slanted, if the car is slanted, it will definitely be a problem, the overall feeling is good, good new, the staff attitude is good, Western dinner is wrong, like fine dining
GGuest UserStandard Japanese-style hot spring hotel, on the mountainside, the art museum will pass a little more. Taxi from Shizuoka Station is generally about 1500YEN. The hotel has a shuttle bus to the station and several fixed points at 4 fixed times in the morning, and a taxi is required to enter and exit at other times. Breakfast is normal. The view is very good. If you catch up with the fireworks conference, you may see fireworks in the room, right? The public bathroom is very ordinary, and the room with private soup is more comfortable, but you have to go to the public bathroom door to get a piece of ice cream strip and ice milk for each person.
CCYYTheir service is wonderful. We left a charger in our room and they quickly locate it and return it. I understand that they use a plastic bag to hold all customer property left in their room and labelled it with dates and room no. This shows how they care about their customers and address to things systemically with every single details. This is one of the many times I forgot things in hotel and public transport and can get things back every time. Speechless!
MMudkipLynnAn amazing place to stay with a location which is near lots of restaurants and even a grocery store. It is a 5 minute walk to the beach. Also there are private hot springs on the top floor which are constantly available and free to use! Loved this hotel very much and it made the stay at Atami very magical and memorable. Thank you for the great time!
JJUNThe hotel is very new and has some taste of decoration. Although the room is large in size, there is no table, and everything can only be placed on the ground. The service staff can only speak simple English, the communication is not very smooth, but the service attitude is very good. There is also the hotel on the mountain, there is no convenience store around, shopping is not convenient, go out to eat and shop, go back to the hotel to climb the mountain, all the way down absolutely dead.
喜喜瑪拉雅星My family and I have two different evaluations of this hotel. I am very satisfied with the location of the hotel, because I can look at the sea, see the sunrise, see the big moon, and see the fireworks. But Amei felt that it was too far from the station, too slanted along the road, and there were not many buses, which was so difficult. For hotel facilities, I think it is acceptable, but Amei is too old and hates the stains on the sheets. For friends who love sea views and pursue cost-effectiveness, this is good; for friends who pursue novel hotel facilities, you need to think more.
GGuest UserThe hotel is on a mountain, so it's easier to walk up the slope. The room is clean and tidy, the view outside the window is very good, the hot spring is particularly comfortable, and the large terrace is also suitable for relaxing after taking a bath. The service attitude of the store clerk is also very good
