Sheraton Steamboat Resort Villas

I have stayed here several times and always enjoyed the service and amenities. This time we did not enjoy our stay. Although we paid for a premium room, what we got was a room with a poor view and it was right outside the large fan which produced a lot of noise so sitting on our patio was not an option as it was too noisy. Our bedding was uncomfortable, no maid service provided unless requested, the coffee bar was only stocked for one day, we had no water pressure, and the AC didn’t work in one our rooms until we got it serviced. The hotel pool was closed for most of our stay as well. Although we asked for late check out all of our room keys stopped working at 9am the morning of our departure leaving us without access to the parking garage or our room when we had two babies in tow making for a very difficult morning.

Went for a wedding on a two night stay. While check in went well and the Front Desk Agent was super friendly, she did not tell us that Housekeeping was "on request" only. When you pay in excess of $300 per night you expect daily service. When we came back to the room after a long day out and about, to get ready for the wedding ceremony, we were surprised that the bed was not done, towels on the floor, coffee mugs in the sink and trash not removed. I called the front desk and the lady was not only rude after I explained to her that nobody at check in had informed us of this poor service standard, she told me if I wanted additional towels I had to pay $15 each. The night before, we came back after the rehearsal cocktail at 9:30pm, ordered a cheese sandwich on sourdough bread, and were served white bread; while Karl the supervisor was great with service recovery, the food in general at this hotel is not great. The menu options are very limited and the presentation is poor. The hotel does not really have a "restaurant" it is more a bar with a market and a "Proudly Serve Starbucks Coffee" that serves comfort food. For somebody like me that travels for work almost every week and stay in hotels over 100 nights a year, this place is not worse the money they charge.

The room was nice and comfortable. It felt slightly tired, but was very clean. The front desk staff was wonderful. The location is the star, however. You cannot get closer to all the action at the base of Steamboat resort. Didn't use the amenities as I was there just for the night, but they had a lot of offerings that would be great for visitors.

Jennifer, the front desk manager is rude and will overtalk you. She was rude and overtalked both my sister and I. Then lied about it to the GM, who I had tried leaving messages with but Jennifer wouldn't allow my call to go to his voicemail. You have been warned.
