We had a brilliant two night stay in late June 2025. The quality of the hotel is clear from when you arrive. A delightful heritage property set over two adjoining buildings, it has just the right mix of old world charm and the facilities you would expect in a modern hotel. The staff could not have been more attentive or forward thinking. As a "serial" hotel user key to the stay is the bed - the Manor Hotel gets it absolutely right, a perfect combination of mattress and bed linen. Lastly, and most importantly, there is Caroline the resident cat who adds an additional charm to the property - thank you Caroline!

Amazing team and beautiful hotel! The staff was amazing and I felt so welcome all the time, really enjoyed every second! The house is well maintained and the beds were very comfortable. I personally love their initiative to save water in the Cape by having buckets to save extra water in the shower. The Spa experience was excellent as well. Perfect after a long flight!

Beautiful boutique hotel in a quiet neighborhood of Stellenbosch just minutes from restaurants and shops. The gardens and pool areas were lovely, there are multiple sitting rooms and public spaces inside and out to sit and relax. The room was gorgeous with a comfortable bed and plenty of pillows. The breakfast was generous and absolutely delicious. The staff were all friendly, warm and helpful.

I cannot recommend the River Manor hotel more. It is 5/5 on every account. Located near Stellenbosch centre, it’s a convenient walking distances to several restaurants and shops. It is about a 20 minute car ride to the wineries. The hotel itself is gorgeous. Lovely decor, pristinely clean. The staff could not be more friendly and welcoming. The included breakfast is lovely. I would stay here again in an instant and would encourage anyone visiting the area to do the same.

A lovely relaxed boutique hotel, far enough out of the town to be peaceful and to park the car, but close enough to walk in 15 minutes. The rooms are spacious, comfortable (although a few more plug sockets and a desk/table would be great). Breakfast is a delight, half buffet, half served – always well presented by lovely helpful staff. Sun loungers are fine, but really need a few more as there are only four for eight nine rooms. Pool is lovely – or rather will be when the filter is fixed!
