Set in beautiful Suffolk countryside, this grade II 16th-century coaching Inn’s offers 11 rooms.
With a flat-screen TV, free tea and coffee and a hairdryer, underfloor heating and air-conditioning each individually styled room also features elegant décor. Some rooms have original exposed beams, while all have a private bathroom. Please do get in touch if you have a specific room requirement.
The Angel Inn, Stoke-by-Nayland provides seasonal lunch and dinner made with local produce.
Monday to Thursdays we serve a continental breakfast.
Friday to Sunday we serve a full breakfast.
Monday to Wednesday we offer our Terrace Bar Menu.
Thursday to Sunday we offer our Terrace Bar Menu & A la carte.

5 star in every way. The hotel was tastefully decorated throughout and our room was well equipped and very comfortable. The food was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. There is also a very pleasant outdoor seating area where you can relax with a drink or have your meals. We have had an enjoyable few days here and would thoroughly recommend it.

This is an exceptional inn Warm welcome Staff soooo friendly Garden area beautiful and relaxing Accommodation luxurious and relaxing decor bed so comfortable pillows fluffy. We stayed in cornfield room . Inn was so clean modern food was excellent But would have liked more fish choices ( just our preference)

It beat our high expectations in terms of accommodation, staff and food. It's the sort of place you dream of finding when you want a lovely break. Also the dinner/bed/breakfast package was excellent value. Most definitely recommend, we will return!

We had a wonderful one night break at the Angel Inn. The service was excellent. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was superb and the room we stayed in was very comfortable and clean. Loved the bath and products. Just superb. We will definitely be back 😊

Simple one night stay to visit family but we struck gold. Stay here with complete confidence. Our room was beautiful. Service was that perfect balance of lovely not false. ( confident). Would also be a perfect place for a romantic weekend away with a lovely dinner in the restaurant. My wife who is very fussy said our meal was the best she had had in ages take that as a major plus. Splash out on the best room you can afford

Had a wonderful 2 night stay. Took my mum for her birthday. Gorgeous hotel. Staff where very attentive but not overwhelming. We were delighted that we chose this hotel. Village is delightful too and we took a lovely slow walk around one morning. Do visit the church it also has information on the village and offers a map with a guided walk explaining the history and sights. We ate at this hotel one night and the crown the next. Both excellent. Very memorable trip. Would stay again.

The newly refurbished rooms are all brilliant we stayed in Cornfield , which had a supersized bed and beautiful walk in shower in the bathroom. The room maintained the history of this lovely building showing the original timbers behind a glass screen. The room was immaculate . The staff were superb always asking if we required anything extra I can not recommend this hotel highly enough

The Angel Inn is absolutely brilliant I would definitely recommend it 👌, the staff are lovely, and very professional and friendly.. The rooms are very comfortable and clean 👌, food was excellent, we was told about each course we had with some wine with each course...

Recently refurbished to an excellent standard. Highly comfortable stay to accommodate us while we research our family history locally. Delightful rooms and helpful staff. Exquisite breakfasts - fantastic fruit salad and sublime salmon. Enjoyed meeting the chef Ruben Aguilar Bel and chatting with him about the previous evenings tasting menu.
