Our recent stay at Hotel Vejlefjord was truly wonderful. We were thrilled to find a reasonably priced offer (3,370 DKK for the Summer Break package) that included access to the incredible spa area. We jokingly called it an “adult water park” because we kept moving from pool to pool, thoroughly enjoying every moment. The hotel itself is a stunning historic building with plenty of cozy nooks for conversation and relaxation. Although the weather was rainy during our visit, we could imagine how lovely it would be to sit out on the balcony with a drink, chatting while taking in the breathtaking views of the ocean or the hotel grounds. This was our third time staying at Hotel Vejlefjord, and once again, it lived up to our expectations. We opted for a room with a queen-size bed this time, but in hindsight, we should have spent the extra 400 DKK for the king-size option—turns out we’re officially too old for queen-size beds! The room itself was small but had everything we needed. We didn’t spend much time there anyway, as we were either unwinding in the spa or exploring the beautiful park and beach nearby. The stay also included a delicious 3-course dinner. While we're not big fans of fish, we appreciated that the chef’s preselected menu included alternative options. Breakfast offered a wide selection to suit most preferences, although we did miss the pancakes we remembered from our previous visit. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, especially when they cleared up some confusion we had with the digital room folder. It had listed the spa opening time as 9 a.m., but we were pleased to learn that we could actually head down from 7 a.m., even if some pools weren’t heated until later. All in all, it was a perfect stay. We’ve already agreed that this needs to become a yearly tradition—and we can’t wait to return.
