"Scenery is nice, but a lot of flies. In the room don’t have any fan/heater. My room have a small fan but it was not working. Night was cold, evening is very very very hot. The water heater one time can only use 50L of hot water, if use finish need wait 1 hour. When we requested for more mineral water it was cost 25000 idr for 500ml. Breakfast is tasty, just only all the environment is a lot of flies. Feeling quite disappointed of the stay. Beside of scenery and breakfast, others of that is very disappointed."
"The B&B is very clean and well located on the way to the volcano, half an hour's drive from Bromo. The room is well-equipped and well decorated. The high bed and soft pillows are the best I've ever stayed in Surabaya. The water quality is also very good, and the shower filter I brought has not changed at all. The boss and his family are Chinese, very enthusiastic, and we communicated in Chinese throughout the whole process. They can also help book a jeep to and from Bromo. You can go for it, my friends!"
"In the village at the foot of the volcano, it is relatively close to the volcano. The waitress is very friendly. After we watched the sunrise and went down the mountain, it was 11 o'clock, and she still prepared breakfast for us. It is no problem to stay for one or two days for sightseeing, and you can't ask for too much else."
"The room is clean. Most importantly, it has a hair dryer, but it is a bit noisy during the day due to construction. The B&B is very convenient. You can directly book a jeep, tickets, airport pick-up and drop-off services. The fried rice for breakfast is not as delicious as the reviews say. Overall, it is good value for money"
"Loveeeeeeee staying at Manis AE. The place is aesthetically pleasing and the temperature is 😍. Service staff is always smiling, helpful and kind. Love that they have hotpot. Their waffles is good too. There's a glass bridge for you to take beautiful photos. Really recommend ppl to come here!
Cons: Pillows are too soft for my liking and toilet walls can be scrubbed more with clorox."
"The location is good, you can sleep until 2 o'clock before going to see the volcano. I live on the second floor, and the wifi signal is really bad. I can't connect to it at all. I can only use my own network, but my own network is not very good, which makes me very uncomfortable, so I only stayed for one night. However, it is very convenient to eat. There is a restaurant inside the hotel. You can have afternoon tea in the morning, noon and evening. Moreover, the hotel is surrounded by mountains. You can see the mountain view from the breakfast view of the hotel, which is also very good. It's just that the network makes me uncomfortable"
"This was a nice place to stay but it should be made clear that this hotel is BEYOND the National park checkpoint and not before it, therefore the fee is payable as you arrive. We only visited the Bromo viewpoint, not the crater, so shouldn’t have had to pay the National park fee, but because this hotel is beyond the check point, it means you have to, so hotel should only really be used if plan to go to the crater but for someone who only plans to go to the viewpoint for sunrise, it is not the best location for this due to the National park fee. But other than this, the lodge was clean and had a restaurant and was relatively easy to navigate to the viewpoint from here"
"It is said that the conditions in the Volcano Village are very poor, there is no hot water and some hotels are full of group tourists. I chose a less popular one, which was surprisingly cost-effective and relatively quiet. The key is that there is plenty of hot water (I later went to eastern Indonesia and found out that hot water is not a standard in Indonesia. Many local hotels in Indonesia only provide cold water for showers). The beef soup for dinner is simple but the taste is not bad. I just need to translate the menu on my phone. The hotel is at the beginning of the village. We asked the hotel to help us book a chartered car. The driver had a few words with the toll collector at the entrance of the village, but he didn't collect the entrance fee from us anyway. The hardware conditions are a bit like the guesthouses in China in the 1980s and 1990s, and there are flies and so on. It is normal for Indonesia, and it is definitely not comparable to China.
Our itinerary in Surabaya changed significantly due to flight changes. We contacted the hotel via WhatsApp, just typing in English. The hotel was very responsible and helped to re-arrange the driver to pick us up from Surabaya Airport to Saiwu and then take us to the hotel. The next day, they recommended a reliable jeep driver to watch the sunrise. The price was the standard charter price without any extra charges (departed from the hotel at 3 o'clock and arrived at Kingkong Hill at 4 o'clock, which was much more comfortable than tossing from Surabaya Airport overnight). Not far from the hotel is the entrance to the active volcano. After we came down from the crater, the driver only drove us back to the hotel in 5 minutes. If you don't want to get up early, I think you can walk to the street park across the street from the hotel to look at the sunrise of the volcano, which is more or less visible."
"The hotel is at the foot of Mount Bromo. How should I put it? Generally speaking, we shouldn’t have high expectations for hotels there. The hotel room facilities are really not good and very shabby, but the service attitude is very good and the breakfast is delicious. I hope the boss will renovate the room. one time"
GGuest UserThe room is very small, with no space for suitcases;
The facilities are very simple, with a small broken hair dryer;
The walls of the bathroom are moldy. The Internet says that this is the best hotel in the area, I don't know if it's true, but it is indeed close to Bromo, and it can be reached in 1 hour and 10 minutes without traffic jams.
GGuest UserThe hotel is ideally located for visiting Mount Bromo, which offers a superb view from the room's terrace. It's easy to reach the viewpoint on foot from the hotel, as well as the crater (a 1-hour walk). The room is in its original condition but very comfortable. The bathroom has no hot water, and the sink was clogged when we arrived.
The hotel staff is great, and the receptionist even drove us to Tumpak Sewu the next day for a reasonable price.
MMENThe hotel is very new and clean. It is actually an hour away from the Bromo volcano, but the hotel conditions are the best nearby. Many breakfast choices! Service attitude is also very good
AAnonymous UserHygienic: Hygiene and clean, new bedding
Environment: Around the woods, very quiet
Service: The boss's service attitude is very good. We arrived in the middle of the night and the boss was waiting at the door to open the door for you.
AAnton tsThe hotel is located in an ideal location for those who want to enjoy the views of the famous Bromo Volcano. The comfortable rooms create a cozy atmosphere to relax after a busy day. The hotel staff is very friendly and always ready to help with any questions. Great place to relax and explore the surrounding area!
GGuest UserIt's pretty good, very close to the Bromo volcano. The service attitude of the guy at the front desk is very good. I recommend it to everyone. You don't need to get up very early if you live here, otherwise it will be too tiring to go to the volcano. The sanitation is also relatively clean. This price is really good!
