"New hotel in Sumenep Madura but for the staff and service, I think it should be fixed first, because when I stayed here at night around 10 pm when I wanted to sleep suddenly someone pressed my room bell when it was opened it turned out to be a hotel staff who said he wanted to fix the TV here I was very confused I had no complaints about the TV to the hotel staff or the receptionist, suddenly the hotel staff checked my room and said he complained about the TV even though I didn't use the TV at all and didn't complain, then what surprised me was when I said I had no complaints about the TV he said he wanted to come in even though I hadn't allowed him to come in, the hotel staff immediately came in and said he wanted to take a picture of the TV, right? I was surprised with this hotel staff because they just barged in and took pictures when I hadn't said yes For the room, the water was very slow according to my information and in the room only coffee was provided, no tea, and in the room there was no telephone to contact the receptionist"

"This place is quite new and looks good from afar if you squint your eyes, but that’s about it. Like a lot of Chinese-built regional hotels in Indonesia the build quality of this place is terrible, and it will very likely be falling apart in five years. By focusing on aesthetics the owners have overlooked the most essential requirements of a good hotel - good service and basic functions that actually work. For instance, the shower cycled between scorching hot and freezing cold and the drainage was blocked both times I used it - so ended up with a flood. The light switches didn’t work properly and the entire floor stank of smoke, despite being a “non-smoking” room. The buffet breakfast was ok, but the service almost non-existent. There aren’t a lot of Western-standard options in Sumenep, and sadly this is probably the best, but that doesn’t mean it’s good. Happy travels."
