Molly Morgan Motor Inn

Room 1. The room stank as soon as the door was opened. There was wet carpet outside the bathroom and on the bath mat. The smell of the mould had built up over days, not hours. When reported to the owners / caketakers it was claimed the room was used the previous day by a disabled person and that caused the water spillage on the carpet. Really? Oh, that implies by their own admission, they knew the carpet was wet yet, still rented the room. Disgraceful and appalling lack of professional behaviour. The owners / caretakers claimed there were no vacancies and sent a man to spray and wipe the wet soggy carpet. All this did was mask the smell and the carpet remained wet. This is not a way to rent out a room. There was no offer of a refund nor an apology. The owners / caretakers/ cleaners would have been aware of the wet areas, the mould and smell in the room. Shame on them. This is a public health issue. This was not my room. My friends stayed in the room. I hope they do not become ill.

Friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable.

Not a bad location. Old hotel that has had a little renovation done. Bathrooms need to be badly updated. bed is super comfortable. Right on a busy road but noise is not too bad, and I am a light sleeper. Located very close to major shopping center and takeaways.

Overnight stay near Maitland. Excellent location and accommodation. Everything you’ll need. The room was very clean. Off street parking. Great shower pressure. We’ve stayed here before and usually like to try different places but this is still our favourite.

The Molly Morgan Motor Inn isn’t a new property by any stretch but it made for a comfortable stay. It’s well positioned to the nearby Stockland Mall at Greenhills which has an excellent food court and retail outlets. Unusually, I was there without a car during a three night stay and needed to rely on taxis to get to and from central Maitland for the Steamfest festival (although Stockland Mall is only a short walk away). For the vast majority of guests who would have cars the property is well positioned on New England Highway. It was also affordable when other properties I first approached had vastly increased their rates for the Maitland Steamfest period.

Staff were very friendly and willing to answer any questions that I asked. The only thing that could be better would be a bigger sign, I drove past the motel because I didn't see the sign.
