Lloyd's on the River Country Inn by OYO

Place is clean and a great location if you want to be in the smokes. It's an old hotel but clean. Not bad for the price.

It was nice. We especially enjoyed the balcony with the view of the river. I was disappointed that there was no water in the pool and no ice in the ice machine . I would stay there again though.

TERRIBLE!!! TERRIBLE rooms, terrible staff. Do not waste your time or money. Power wouldnt stay on. You could see through the door to the outside. Lock wasn't secure. We had a whole other room booked and was told upon checkin we couldn't stay in the room we booked because there was water issues. Just STAY AWAY. We left a few hours after we checked in. No refund was ever received.

I arrived and checked in at Lloyds on the River with no issue. The A/C wasn't working well, but it was a cool night, so I had no issue with that. That night I found bedbugs. It was afterhours so I left my key in the key drop. Now I have called OYO and the hotel. They both say that the other is responsible for issuing my refund. The hotel says it can only issue the refund if I show up in person with the card I paid with. The OYO customer service says that since I paid at the hotel and not on the web site it's the hotel's responsibility. While I'm typing this, I have been on hold for over an hour while the web site customer service is supposably talking to the hotel. Stay away from both this hotel and OYO.

When I first pulled into the parking lot I thought oh Lordy what did I get myself into as a military family we are always eager to save a few bucks when we can. I shook it off and entered the office where a very pleasant young man greeted me with a huge smile! He checked me into my room and told me if we needed anything to let him know… we walked into our room (110) and honestly it was extremely clean and well tended too. We even had extra towels and toilet paper! The country themed bedding was super adorable! Was it the Hilton nope, was it out dated yes. However, was it the closest thing to feeling like you’re at your families house away from home and not in an actual hotel room oh yeah! The back porch with rocking chairs overlooking picnic tables, grills, and the river was the serene icing on the cake! The price was acceptable and affordable, the service was above and beyond, and the location was wonderfully peaceful without the hustle and bustle of city life surrounding you. I will definitely be staying here again, hopefully their pool will be open and it will be a bit warmer lol. Long story short: this place is not brand new by any means but these old bones are still fully functional and safe for anyone who enjoys the simpler things in life.

We stayed the night (ROOM 126) this past weekend to walk into the room with our children to find a needle (uncapped) on night stand and with long sock below by the bed. Obviously the cleaning staff either over looked this or someone employed by the hotel was responsible for the uncapped needle found in our room. The room was gross, unkept and not cleaned. The blinds were all broken. Bodily fluid looking stains on the curtains. My family left in the middle of the night because we were disgusted with the room. NOW I must preface my inlaws who removed the needle from our room..should have taken a picture of the needle, but quickly threw it out because we had small children in the room. We were in town for a poker tournament and had to quickly get to the ****** upon checking into the room. We admit fault by not bringing it to anyone attention right away. But, it’s still no excuse for the conditions we walked into the room with. Upon all this we called the hotel today (Monday AND my mother in law spoke to someone Sunday (the hotel is claiming she didn’t) and we’re told that “this was hearsay” and he called me a liar saying they didn’t believe us. He explained to me that he was a God fearing, family owned hotel. Unfortunately, they handled the situation poorly and did not stand by the customer in my opinion which is why I’m writing this review. Had the situation been handled better, I would have let this go. DO NOT STAY HERE with a family or kids. God only knows what else is in the room. This is not a safe establishment and I would advise spending your money in another establishment in town. Unsafe conditions.
