Lidia made us feel very welcome, Bergview was a a great place to stay , fantastic breakfast and lovely room, property is in a very good position and the pool was a welcome bonus, highly recommend

Lovely warm welcome from Lidia. We were so hot when we arrived so the pool was very welcome - but the area around the pool was quite compact so couldn't really chase the sun! Went out for dinner to somewhere recommended by Lydia , which was lovely The room was lovely but we found it hot and struggled to get air flowing thru. Lidia said in the morning we could have easily opened the door but we weren't sure on security and mozzies!! Suggest a sheet is provided as well as the gorgeous snuggly duvet, for those "hot" guests Breakfast was plentiful and really beautifully cooked. Thank you x

Beautiful location within walking distance of cozy restaurants and the Drostdy museum. The host and hostess are very hospitable and want to please you. We were spontaneously offered a beer in the pool. Very hospitable! The room is fine and tastefully decorated. Lovely bed. If you go to Swellendam, this is highly recommended!

The guesthouse is very quietly located in a residential area. We received a very warm welcome from our host. We were even given a room upgrade. The rooms are beautiful and tasteful, well equipped, and the towels and toiletries in the bathroom are of the highest quality. There is also a pool and everything is extremely clean and well-kept. There is also a lovely and delicious breakfast in the morning. We felt completely at home. Too bad we were only passing through for one night. We would have liked to stay longer and will definitely be back. Many thanks to the hosts.

We have just returned from a amazing trip to South Africa. We had the pleasure of staying at the Bergview guesthouse in Swellendam. Lidia and her husband were perfect hosts, beautiful clean accommodation, nothing too much trouble and a fantastic breakfast. Lidia even kindly booked our evening meal at a local restaurant which was lovely. 11 out of 10 for Bergview guesthouse it was like staying with old friends, thanks guys We shall be back.

We had a fantastic overnight stay at Bergview Guesthouse Swellendam, with a warm welcome from the owner. The apartment looked beautiful and the home made breakfast was delicious.

The guesthouse is located in a lovely quiet road a short walk from a good choice of restaurants. Our room was spacious and comfortable and provided everything we needed. We had a fabulous view of the mountain over looking the town, as well as the beautiful garden. Breakfast was excellent. We could not fault the treatment we received during our stay and will defintely reurn if we are able to visit Swellendam in the future. Communications with Lidia before, during and after our stay was very good and we were grateful for her offer to book a restaurant for us for dinner . As a result, we can also highly recommend the Field and Fork.
