Days Inn by Wyndham Swift Current

Great stay, great staff. Always friendly and accommodating. No elevator so make sure you request main floor rooms if have mobility issues. We did and recieved a room close to breakfast room and pool. They have loaner bikes if you want to pedal around Swift Current

"TRINA" Checked in with a woman on 05/25/2025, who I only identified as Trina at checkout on 05/26/2025. My immediate first impression was that she was not very friendly or accommodating. She misrepresented herself as Manager, Chris King, to me later that evening. Problem later started when I found that the very long room darkening blinds did not fully close, which was due to the upper tracks designed to not be long enough to allow this. Only the shorter sheer blinds closed fully. Compounding this very poor design choice was that the room darkening blinds went fully to the floor, which would have covered the air conditioner vents if the drapes were able to be fully closed. There was also a very large and bright, always on, security spotlight just across the driveway mounted on the adjoining wing of the hotel. People could therefore see into my room and I could see into their rooms. The bright spotlight made it impossible to sleep properly. I went to speak to Trina about my concerns and she did not appear to be concerned, and was not helpful in the least, bordering on being rude and dismissive. Her initial response was to say she would notify Maintenance, in the MORNING, and they might be able to help then. I was stunned at this response and just stared at her waiting incredulous. When no further response was coming from Trina I said how is that supposed to help me tonight. She didn't respond to my comment. She offered to change rooms for me but since this was a poor design feature of the drapes itself, not a particular problem with only my room, I declined to move as I was also tired and already unpacked etc. I asked if she might have something that I could pinch the drapes together and hold them in place with to try to block some of the light. All she found were some paperclips and gave those to me. After the paperclips obviously couldn't hold the drapes together I went back to the front desk to get the woman's business card so I could follow up with management. After simply asking for her business card, she said "For sure", and gave me the business card for the Manager Chris King, NOT her card. I asked "That's you". and she said yes. I said thank you and turned to walk back to my room. Trina then replied "You're very welcome, have a good night", in a sarcastic tone knowing the chances of that were not very good due to the bright light which she refused to properly help with, to which I said back "We will try", as I continued on my way with my back to her. Trina then escaped the situation by replying "Hope so" in an even more sarcastic tone, to which I turned to face her and walking a few steps said, "Something funny about that", and she said "Hope so" again. I said "Hope so?, yeah you should hope so". Trina's response was "You know what, I will ask you to leave the property if you come at me", "You see this. I want you to see this", pointing to a sign by the desk threatening to remove customers if they apparently bother the desk st

Very old and outdated hotel with terrible parking. hottub jets are weak. Breakfast was put away early even on a busy weekend. Staff was friendly but not worth the amount they charge. They would not give us a late checkout wereally needed one.

From the booking to departure all the boxes were ticked. A suggestion of an upgrade proved to beneficial as we had been driving most of the day. The room was clean, tidy and the bed comfortable. Breakfast offered both hot food plus a cold option. The staff were friendly, with a ‘no fuss’ attitude. I would recommend this motel.

The front desk staff at check-in was rude, little to none customer service skill. She couldn't spell, bad English, couldn't find my reservation and instead of asking me for the reservation number, she asked when did I made a reservation. It's none of your business. She even asked if I just made a reservation 5 mins ago, no girl, I made it 1 week before coming. No greetings, no thank you, no please, no sorry, nothing.

I do not recommend the External Access Building here at all. Its basically a run down and outdated two level motel. Water damaged ceiling in the stair access almost falling down in one spot. Have to walk outside in the cold to get to the main building for the pool with the kids. Highway is about 200’ away across the parkinglot and noisy all night. If you’re unsure of rooms when you book, check to be sure that you are in the main building. Won’t be staying at this Days Inn again.
