Tracing back to the Southern Tang Dynasty, Lu Village has a history of over a thousand years. The ancient residential area of Lu Village was built during the Qing Dynasty's Daoguang period, and there is a meticulously carved "Huizhou Woodcarving Building" in the village that took twenty years to complete. The homestay is located in a village not too far from the world heritage site of Hongcun, and the building inside the shop was renovated from Huizhou style protected residential buildings, using a large number of precious wooden furniture to highlight the Lu Village woodcarving. It has a certain visiting value, and the shop has complete room types. After design and renovation, it largely restores the Huizhou ancient residential lifestyle and reduces the drawbacks of traditional residential living. The store provides the whole process butler service and some value-added payment services. The store has complete facilities, including laundry, private bathing pool, outdoor venues, etc.

"Amazing hotel like walk through 100 years ago. Staff members were nice and helpful. Dinner and breakfast was great. Unfortunately couldn’t use hot springs and scenically photo voucher from the hotel because our limit of time.
However staying there was the wonderful memories.
Only one point for the room we booked, bath tub location is not practical to use😅."

For those driving themselves, parking is provided on site. According to our guests, this hotel provides a very high level of service. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling with families.
"Zhang Mansion is a peaceful oasis from the hustle and bustle of the ancient village, its decor and furnishing is fitting with the historic setting but with modern, clean and comfortable amenities. Would definitely stay again and would strongly recommend to others!
Hotel manager was very communicative, but you need to have WeChat. They can communicate in English by message with you.
The rooms were stunning, service was excellent and the communal areas were beautiful and comfortable.
Hotel breakfast was freshly made and they were able to accommodate our requests.
Some of the rooms require ascending steep stairs, so if you have accessibility needs it would be best to inform the hotel in advance. Bedrooms are comfortable and cosy. The addition of the tea ceremony area is brilliant. The mattresses and bedding were clean and comfortable. Bathrooms were clean with good pressure hot water.
The hotel also put us in touch with a honest and reliable driver that we used for transfers from the bullet train station as well as a trip to Huang Shan (yellow mountain)."

Tea and reading in the courtyard on the first floor, drinking and chatting on the terrace on the second floor, and viewing and taking photos on the platform on the third floor. Perfect guest room facilities, Kohler, Wrigley and other brands of bathroom, projection TV. The public areas in the store can provide indoor and outdoor cafes for guests to use, and the conference room in the store can provide high-end office projectors and office equipment. The room is spacious, with large floor-to-ceiling glass, good lighting, beautiful scenery, floor heating and central air conditioning. I hope this store will bring you a comfortable trip.

Perfect stay in the clouds resort.
We spent five nights here. I am living in Chiba for 18 years. This is the best stay in hotel since I am here. The village is touristic, but authentic and quiet in night. It’s a mix of ancient village, water, nature. The dream China.
The resort is perfectly located on the side of the lake. The common parts are wonderful, from the term, the garden, the courtyards. You can feel the soul of the country here, built by multiple generations.
The rooms are traditional but beautiful and extremely well equipped with huge shower, Japanese toilets, huge bathtub.
There is 3 courtyards, all original and authentic. You feel the heat of history.
The restaurant is the best of the city, for reasonable prices and tasty and comfortable settings.
On the top of it, very dedicated staff, trying their best to make us happy, nice breakfast, nice afternoon tea, tea ceremony… we can be only grateful to have the pleasure to stay here.
Fast train station is just ten minutes away…

In general a nice relaxing stay. Good location to explore Hongcun and ancient towns. However, a little disappointed by the overall quality which is below my experience when compared to staying at other banyan tree properties. Little things like the clearness, maintenance of the property where paints are peeling etc. the most obvious is poor choice and quality of the breakfast .
