Tru by Hilton Tahlequah

Shower temperature adjustment knob didn’t turn to hot water. I took a cold shower. The eggs at breakfast were watery. Breakfast was very underwhelming overall. Rooms are so small. The pool had algae on the walls. 20% tax on top of the room fee. I was charged $250/night & tax was $50 more. The bed was hard and side tables were so small that they weren’t useful. This is a hard no & it smelled funny.

I work right next door to this hotel. I drive an hour and 40 mins to work everyday so I thought I would take a break from driving one night and just stay in town. I looked online to check the rates and saw where a room is 140 a night. On check in I ask if they gave a military discount and the woman behind the desk said they did. I was never actually told how much the room was until I had went through the entire check in process and they ran my card. And even then I had to ask what the room cost. Apparently the military discount saved me a dollar because she told me it was 139.00. After taxes and fees it ended up being 166.00. The place is nice but its not worth the 166.00. I will have to find another place to stay once a week I guess.

We loved the outdoor pool and indoor area inside. It seemed like there was barely anything for breakfast, we had to ask for cream cheese, more bagels, the pancake machine was broken and so was the juice machine. The area and staff were super nice. It did seem like we were constantly having to ask for things, towels for the pool, ice buckets, etc.

Wish that each room had a microwave and larger refrigerator with a freezer. We travel with our softball team and need freezers for our ice packs.

Didn’t get my bags off the cart and had to change Rose three times. First room had hair all in the shower. Toilet had poop smeared down the side. Dirty towel was left on the floor. Second room. Once again. Toilet was completely filthy. Mirrors looked like they found the dirtiest towels to wipe them down with. Finally, the third row. Wasn’t the cleanest, but it was the best one out of the three. Lady at the desk was extremely embarrassed. She gave me 3000 points for inconvenience. As soon as her manager found out. She took the points back and told me I was being too picky I guess wanting a clean room that I paid for is just completely absurd.

The rooms are very clean, but I was in a connecting room and it was so loud. I could hear all the conversations and sound of the television in the next room to the degree I could identify the movie the guests were watching. They seriously need more soundproofing in the rooms, especially the connecting ones. I asked if I could move but unfortunately they were sold out.

This is a well maintained property. The staff were ALL polite and friendly.

This was definitely a newer hotel because it had a fresh vibe, the room was clean, and the space was comfortable. It was definitely lower tier without amenities in the bathroom (a hair dryer was included). A mini fridge was included. It was very simple but provided enough for a single night stay. I felt refreshed and clean leaving the hotel.

Very streamlined, friendly hotel. Room was clean and comfortable, good tv streaming ability. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was typical for a hotel like this, a decent variety.
