"The room has an unbeatable sea view, facing the sea with flowers blooming in spring, and you can also see the misty Mount Etna in the distance. The hotel is halfway up the mountain. It is a bit expensive to take a taxi from the train station to the mountain for 25 euros. Young people without large luggage can try hiking or taking the bus. The uncle at the front desk is very friendly. The sleeping bag left in the room by my companion was immediately delivered. I stayed for two nights. It is suitable for a daze vacation"

"We were very satisfied with the room, located on the second floor. There wasn't the rooftop music we expected at night. A highlight was the complimentary lemonade at the front desk, and they could help call a taxi to the bus terminal (note that you should make sure the taxi fare is the same as what you agreed beforehand, as they might try to charge extra). We were initially directed up stairs by Google Maps, but after contacting the hotel, they informed us of a route that didn't require climbing stairs and arranged for someone to pick us up – a very helpful experience. Taormina is located on a hillside with a steep incline, making it quite a challenge to drag luggage around. There's a bus stop right outside Taormina train station; you can take a bus to the hillside or the top. A cashier will collect the fare when the bus is about to arrive – €1.10 per person to the hillside."

"Just got back from a week at Baia Taormina with my wife (May 2026) and had to leave a few words. The hotel itself is lovely – great room, gorgeous views, and the food was very good every single day. But honestly, what made the trip for us was the people. Reception was warm and helpful from the minute we walked in. The pool and pool bar staff were always kind and genuinely nice. The restaurant team though – that’s where we really felt spoiled. Maitre Randazzo runs things beautifully, and Salvo Samuele, Davide Antonio, Stefano Inna and Laura were a joy every evening. They remembered us, joked with us, and made us feel welcome. We’ll be surely back."

"There are few hotels to choose from in Taormina during the off-season. We finally chose this hotel. We didn't expect a good attitude, but it gave us a very good experience after checking in. The scenery here is really great. You can see the volcano directly from the room and the restaurant. The hotel's housekeeper is also very nice. He helped coordinate taxis and let us choose a hotel that uses public transportation, which is a lot more convenient."

"Villa Sonisi, a very good experience❤️ 1. Service The staff are warm and friendly and the service is thoughtful. The reception is efficient, the staff are helpful and provide excellent service. Especially the Godfather day trip💕 2. Location The accommodation is in a great location, located on the hill with a beautiful view of Mount Etna. 3. Breakfast The breakfast is rich and varied, delicious and includes options such as bread, hot food, fruit and yogurt. Healthy breakfast options are available for gluten-free and dairy-free. 4. Hygiene The accommodation is very clean and tidy, and the room is spacious and clean. 5. Value for money This accommodation is very cost-effective, cheap and of acceptable quality. 6. The only regret is that the room we booked is close to the roadside, and the sound of passing cars at night is very loud, especially the sound of cars and motorcycles is too noisy, which affects the quality of sleep."

"The hotel is very good overall. It is very convenient to go to the main street from the garden. The rooftop is particularly good. When I went there, the weather was very good to see the Aitna volcano and the sea view. It was really super cool. The service staff was very nice. I saw that I arrived early and sent me an espresso coffee to see the scenery in the rooftop garden. With an empty room, I was allowed to stay early, thank you very much."
