Casita Juliet has it all for the single traveler or couple. Located on a quiet, downtown street and short walk to Taos Plaza. It is a one bedroom (Queen) little home with a well equipped kitchen, separate eating area, large living room. It is decorated in my style of antiques, art and whimsy. Casita Juliet has all appliances, dishes and kitchenware, towels and bedding in a charming intimate yet roomy little house. Ceiling fans in bedroom and living room as well as screened windows and door for summer visits. Electric baseboard heaters in all rooms insure cozy winter stays. It has two outdoor living areas and of course a ridiculous number of plants--a signature of mine...Although there are two homes on this property, both have a feeling of privacy with separate off street parking, garden and outdoor living spaces.Casita Juliet can also be combined with the main house 'Casa Madre' as a family compound for a larger group of up to 10.As with all of my properties Casita Juliet is pet friendly. $10 per night per dog which may be left at departure. This downtown efficiency apartment is across the street from the Taos Plaza. It is on the "Garden Street" of Taos on a little one block street with shops, restaurants and four of my Vacation Rental apartments.Free parking in lot across the street. Meters but town is not ticketing. The kitchen area includes a refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffee maker and toaster as well as dishes and glassware for two. Be sure and check out "Melissa's Picks" posted on frig for shops, museums and restaurants downtown. The Reading Nook has a comfortable chair, reading light and a variety of Vacation Books.The dining area is an antique table with two chairs complete with placemats and cloth napkins.Opaque blinds offer privacy yet allow our wonderful Taos light to come in.The main room has a ceiling fan, operable transom window and a dutch door for summer use. In winter months there is a gas log stove and even a heated electric mattress pad. Please operate gas log stove ONLY with wall thermostat. NEVER turn off main gas line.The hallway has hooks for hanging clothing and there is a dresser at the foot of the bed.I love the bathroom! It has a new tiled shower with my concept of random tiles and is bright and colorful. I provide Robes, thick towels, soaps, shampoo, hair dryer and other miscellaneous bath supplies. There is a ceiling fan for ventilation and a small space heater.This apartment as well as all the buildings on the street was built in the 1880's so thick walls keep it cool in summer and easy to keep warm in the winter. 14" thick walls will do that. Also it ensures quiet even though right downtown. The beauty of adobe construction.I operated this space as a small retail shop until I realized my true passion was Vacation Rentals. I love to remodel, furnish and decorate for my many guests.I now have 11 Taos Rentals. Everything from this efficiency to one bedroom apartments and houses as well as two and three bedroom homes. The rental is off of Salazar Rd, it's 1000 square feet, southwestern style, and sits on approximately .500 an acre. There is a big spacious backyard and plenty of parking space. The rental is built of Rastra Block, which is an insulated concrete block, it helps to keep the rental warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The bedrooms have skylights, it makes it nice, if you enjoy seeing the stars before falling asleep or if you prefer you can close the blinds. it keeps it nice and dark. NEW: King Bed. The bedrooms have ceiling fans, the fans have 3 speeds. You'll enjoy the radiant heat that keeps the floor so nice and warm. you'll love the beautiful stained turquoise floors. You can also enjoy a cozy fire utilizing the Kiva Fireplace. We supply a bundle of wood for our guests. The walls are made of diamond finish. The sofa's are very comfortable!
