"After reading the great reviews decided to book this hotel. Arrived at the airport to find that there was no vehicle to collect us so had to get a taxi. On arrival at the hotel only to be told that there was no booking for us and that we would have to pay for our rooms despite having our booking confirmation in writing they refused to accept this. Their partners Thalasso had verbally confirmed our booking but had not confirmed it in writing therefore we were told by the hotel manager that we would have to pay for our stay of 10 nights which was going to cost around £5000!! Also we didn't get the rooms that we booked, we were given a family room, so one couple had to have the adjoining twin room which really was supposed to be for 2 children. Another disappointment was the evening meal, for 8 nights we had the same type of food which consisted of a mixed salad for starters, the main course was over cooked chicken, which was bland and dry, the other choice was either lamb which was mainly bones and fat or dried up fish and this was every night. The breakfast was very good and the staff at breakfast were lovely (Butter and Habib) unfortunately I couldn't say the same for the evening staff and one was quite rude. There was nothing to do in the evenings with no entertainment, it would have been nice to have some music or local singers. Also we weren't informed about the construction that was going on so could be quite noisy during the day. This is such as lovely place but is let down by the management. The place has so much potential and would attract more guests if the food and activities were improved. Unfortunately it took the hotel 9 days to sort out our booking confirmation therefore we didn't have to pay the final bill, but we never received an apology from the hotel management for the stress and worry this caused us. This problems with the booking ruined our stay"

"Stayed for 3 nights, the owner, Said, was a very welcoming and friendly host. He arranged a taxi to meet us at the airport in the late evening and taxis for other journeys. Said also gave us a tour of the nearby town of Oulad Teima the next day. We enjoyed walking and bird watching from the gite and walked in the nearby foothills of the mountains. Our room was very clean and the air conditioning worked well. We made good use of the pool after a hot walk. The breakfasts and our vegetarian evening meal were delicious. Thank you for our excellent visit."

With regard to meals and breakfasts, Annick is a non-parent cook, and we have enjoyed a wide range of Moroccan local gastronomy with a service that is always careful and jovial .... for the amateurs ( among others): Various tajines, Harira, msemen, bakhrir, confectionery, local honey ... We have loved our stay, and we will not forget Annick and Marc who are two exceptional people . We warmly recommend the Riad Anma and hope to come back to it soon ."

"Just returned from our second stay at this wonderful hotel. We travelled as a family of 6 adults for a birthday celebration and have had a great time. The staff are very attentive, nothing is too much trouble. The food was excellent and rooms were spotless. Special mention to Monaime for making our stay so special. We’ll be back."

"Despite its pleasant surroundings, this place doesn't live up to its ambitions. It's far from the city of Taroudant. Parking is far from the restaurant and reception. The meal is average and expensive (basic couscous for 100 dirhams), and there's no choice of alcohol. The staff service is amateurish. The prices are too high for Morocco."
