Convenient location near transport, amenities, and attractions. Spacious, clean, well-equipped rooms with friendly, attentive staff. Varied, delicious breakfast. Some mention firm high beds.

We had a wonderful stay at Manor Hotel, which is conveniently located near the Central Railway Station. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. The hotel provided a good breakfast selection, featuring local specialties. The self-service coffee machine in the restaurant would be a great addition, helping to reduce waiting times and ease the morning rush on the staff. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Although there was a construction site next door, it didn’t cause any disturbance throughout the day. One small drawback was that the beds were quite high, which could be challenging for children or shorter guests to climb onto. It would be helpful if the hotel offered a small step stool in such cases. We arrived early, around 6 a.m., and appreciated the option for an early check-in at half the usual room rate, which made our arrival much easier. Overall, it was a very positive experience, and we would happily stay at Manor Hotel again!

The hotel is very close to the train station, about a 10-minute walk in a straight line, making it ideal if you want to be close to the station. The hotel facilities are new and kept very clean. The room is spacious, as is the bathroom. The bathroom has amenities such as a toothbrush, shaving cream, and a comb. Everything in the room is very modern. The mattress on the bed is a bit high; I didn't have a problem with it because I'm tall, but I think for a shorter person, the bed would be a bit high. There's a construction project next to the hotel, but fortunately, you can't hear any noise with the windows closed, so don't worry, it's not a problem. Breakfast is very good; it's a buffet with a wide variety of breads, fruits, nuts, sweets, cheeses, yogurts, chocolates, etc. You can also order scrambled eggs, fried eggs, or any type of eggs you like. The restaurant staff is very friendly and always attentive to everything.

This is the worst hotel I have stayed in with the rudest and most unhelpful staff I have ever met. The Windows don't open and are partially obscured. The room was stuffy and overheated. I have an allergy to air con and when I explained this to reception he said Go and find somewhere else. It was 11pm. Avoid this place at all costs. It brings tourism in Uzbekistan into disrepute.

The fact that this hotel is right next to a very active building site should NOT put off potential guests, and it's an unusual hotel review that opens with that line. The Manor Hotel is flanked by a building site where work goes on beyond midnight. The sound of work is audible from outside the hotel but, from my room which overlooked the men (and they were all men) at work, I didn't hear anything from inside the hotel. Any traveller considering this hotel should be aware of the work going on outside, but I'm a light sleeper and it didn't effect me at all. Manor Hotel is a very conveniently situated hotel, being only 20 minutes by taxi from the airport and a ten-minute stroll to the main railway station for connections to Samarqand and Bukhara. It is also on the rather lovely Shevchenko boulevard which is wide, tree-lined, and full of restaurants, cafés, and bars. From the front door of the hotel, you can see down Shevchenko to the station so you can work out how long you will need to take to walk there. The hotel has been refurbished recently and it is done to a relatively high spec. The rooms and shared areas are very clean, freshly painted, and well lit. This looks like a new-ish hotel. The lobby is a few steps from the front door and our arrival processing was swift and easy. The corridors are wide. There is WiFi available throughout the hotel. My room was large and had an en-suite with a very good shower (although water leaked under the partition between the shower and the toilet, leaving a large puddle on the floor. There is not anything you would want for more in the bathroom. There is ample space in the bedroom, although no tea/coffee-making facilities. The window is quite small and in the corner of the room, with a view directly onto the building site so you wouldn't choose to spend time gazing out of the window onto the Tashkent skyline. It was noticeable how high off the floor the bed is - it is comfy and the air conditioning worked fine, but it was striking that on the bed, I felt a long way off the ground. Breakfast is served in a large and rather grand room. If there were a shortcoming to the hotel, it was the breakfast. To be fair, we arrived at the very moment that service began, and the one waiter was rushed off his feet. The selection of food was strange - from warm pizza through dozens of cakes, biscuits, sweets, and pastries, this breadth of offering lacked simple things such as toast or butter. Even if toast isn't a Central Asian delicacy, if you put pizza and chocolate gateau on the breakfast menu, you can serve toast. Hot drinks took a while to reach us. That said, this was a very reasonably priced, centrally located, clean and comfy hotel whose neighbours did not disturb my sleep at all. I would definitely stay here again if visiting Tashkent - that's the endorsement.

Worst check-in process ever. Still require physical paper confirmation of registration for tourists. while all other hotels do it electronically on the back end without annoying customers. Guys at the front desk were snobby and somewhat arrogant. Made us wait hours for checkin. Did not expect this in the middle of our otherwise excellent time in this friendly country. Also, none of our regular rooms looked like the one in pics. Breakfast was decent but we liked it better elsewhere. Stick to the larger hotel chains, especially if you are travelling from the western countries. Taxis and dirt cheap and getting around is easy with the Uber-like apps.

Rude staff who barely spoke english. Made us wait hours because of registration cards. No other hotel made us do this during our stay. Would not recommend to foreign or American travelers. This was by far the worst experience during our trip to Uzbekistan. Please consider known hotel chains.
