High Leys Lodge

High Leys Lodge is the most perfect place to stay to discover the area or simply sit and relax looking out on the incredibly scenic view. As other reviews have pointed out, the accommodation is excellent, to a high standard and the view stunning; morning, noon and night with clear skies highlighting a multitude of stars. Sarah and John have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and relaxing by creating a peaceful ambiance. Apart from the cleanliness, comfortable beds, spacious rooms etc that you might expect, the offer of a platter for supper on arrival, freshly cooked/prepared breakfast, afternoon cake to booking local restaurants or trips for you, highlights just how much they care about their guests. It’s all the thoughtful touches, little things where they go above and beyond that make all the difference. They are the ultimate hosts in a stunningly beautiful location. Cannot recommend High Leys highly enough.

Wow what a place. The hospitality from Sarah and John was lovely, the room and communal area excellent, but what made this place so special was the view. Quite simply it was a privilege to stay in such an amazing location. From sun rise to sun set the view is constantly changing and at night you get to see the Milky Way. If you are ever in this amazing part of the world be sure to stay here as it will exceed your expectations. We will definitely be back.

What an awesome place. The hosts, Sarah and John, were warm and welcoming. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed. Great view, too! The B&B really feels like a modern home. VERY comfortable. Wine in the evening and awesome breakfast each morning. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again

Herausragende Lage mit unmittelbarem Blick auf den See. Luxuriöse und (trotzdem) sehr familiäre Unterkunft. Das Frühstück wird individuell zubereitet . Man ist hier „zu Hause angekommen“. Die abendliche Pasta-Platte, garniert mit eigenen Erzeugnissen, war perfekt und der leckere Wein war „complementary“ .

High Leys Lodge is an exquisite property with spectacular views over a beautiful garden and Lake Te Anau. Everything was exceptionally tasteful, it was peaceful, spacious, beautiful. Wonderful hosts Sarah and John. Delicious à la carte breakfast freshly prepared by Sarah. A true luxury. If we come back to New Zealand again, we would be delighted to stay with them again.
