"We had a very nice “luxury overwater bungalow” which was in good shape. The lagoon was a dream, you can directly enter from you terrasse and have plenty of fishes in the coral guarden. Yet we heard many complaints from other guests about the “superior overwAter bungalows” which seemed in not good shape.
Service felt like non-existing, especially as we were in StRegis Bora Bora before. As we and some others were arriving early, they parked us in the lobby area for several hours and also after several reminders did not manage to fill up coffee and water. (This Time could also be used to show people the Ressort or bring them to lunch as other hotels in this price area manage to do).
Breakfast was decent, but again very bad and slow service (with the only highlight being the customer crazy guy preparing your eggs and pancakes, sorry forgot his name he made my day). Getting your coffee or tea might take ages, sometimes not coming at all. They also took ages to remove used plates from tables, resulting in bird invasion everywhere.
Dinner was mediocre at best.
-no gym
-wireless is very bad and slow everywhere
Conclusion: lagoon is very beautiful, but overall experience in the hotel does by far not match the price level. They have to step up a lot!"
"It's a piece of paradise, unbelievable service, every person who works there is helpful, and willing to go above and beyond to ensure you feel at home .. definitely recommend staying there. You can snorkel right there - the bungalos are on the edge of a small coral riff"

"Definitely opt for the overwater bungalows. The beach bungalows with private pools were a little worn down. The main pool was closed due to renovations and it was not supposed to be. The renovations were supposed to have been completed before our stay. That was a bummer and all they did was give us a $50 credit.
The lagoon and house reef is spectacular and so full of fish. All not motorized activities including kayaking and SUP are included. Very good buffet breakfast. The service was 3 star definitely not 5 star service. An absolutely fantastic location and go to happy hour for sunset."

"Location is one of the best in Moorea for sunset and locals.
Keep in mind that you should have a scooter or car to get to NIU!
Taxi is too far and too expensive. There is a scooter rental 5min away.
NIU super new. You can hear the ocean at night if you want. Supreme!
The check in was lovely … the receptionist was lovely and friendly. The female manager a bit snobby (sorry to say).
Try the „poisson cru“ at „O2“ restaurant near by"
"The hotel is really old, probably from the 1990s; especially the bathroom, the toilet breaks down as soon as you press it.
The hotel is not big and there is not much to do. When I went there, there were no projects on the shore because of the wind. I booked a tour around the island, but many places were closed due to strong winds. The strange thing is that it is understandable that outdoor places are closed, but why are museums also closed?
Hotel breakfast and dinner were average
If you want to stay on the main island, it is not as good as Hilton in terms of cost performance."
"One of the closest hotels to the airport. A nice place for people who need to have a shower after a long flight or wait for few hours to aboard the flight to Bora Bora.
The hotel is in walking distance. HOWEVER, you need to have some detour and walk uphill for some distance. It is really painful if you are carrying large luggage. In that case, it is better to take a taxi. Same when you get back to the airport.
It is just a normal motel. It is clean and have necessary amenities but can’t expect anything more. The front desk is 24 hours and helpful. You can buy drinks at the front desk. The price is reasonable.
Overall, the motel is ok (especially its good location) but a little bit overpriced."
"A particularly touching hotel experience!
It was nine o'clock in the evening, and we suddenly needed to buy daily necessities urgently. The surrounding shops were basically closed. The front desk staff learned about our situation, discussed with a staff member who happened to be off work, and actually gave us a free ride to a 24-hour store that was not nearby. The supermarket, which is open for hours, bought the daily necessities we needed and then sent us back.
I have personally experienced that the people of Tahiti are extremely honest and warm-hearted!"
"Starting from the location, the hotel is about 4 kms away from the airport, and you can hear the planes lifting off and landing. However, note that this hotel does not provide a shuttle service, meaning that you need to arrange for your own transportation - even if you arrive at 3 in the morning, and this means either taking a taxi or renting a car (but the second option won't work if you arrive outside of work hours). The taxi will cost about 20000 XPF, during day time and also if you have a large group of people. Not more. I got scammed by a taxi driver on the night I arrived. Lost about 4.5k XPF on that. Great start to the stay.
The city, Papeete is reachable by walking about 15 minutes along the coast road, which doesn't always have a great pedestrian walkway. This is also somewhat of an annoyance, where the hotel is of decent make, but the environment doesn't match with that.
Next, the hotel staff itself, and the service they provide. It is totally a mixed bag. It horrifies me to say that your experience will be dominated by whom is serving you. Some of the staff are horribly inflexible and utterly arrogant. Others are extremely helpful. And this also applies to the Hilton Moorea, where people won't even rent you a changing room and a towel, even when you have a booked tour with their event providers and the bloody tour starts from the hotel pier.
If the hotel wasn't clean, I would have been very disappointed. The beds are okay.
Tried some facilities, the swimming pool, three of four restaurants and the Spa, and I have to say that everything is exceedingly expensive, but as a redeeming point, the service at these facilities is also rewarding, though maybe not at the level you would expect at this price class.
Overall I consider this place not worthy of being called a five star hotel. Due to my experiences with the staff, I wouldn't even give them a fourth star. The Intercontinental is better altogether."
