Fernside Bed and Breakfast

From the second we arrived to the second we left, we had a thoroughly wonderful time. The standard of cleanliness, quality of service and beautiful surroundings all made this one night get-away a trip to remember. Fantastic accommodation. 100% recommend to all. Would definitely stay again. First class choice of breakfast - extremely well cooked. Very comfortable night. Beautiful bed linen. Host and Hostess were so charming and welcoming. We felt really relaxed and spoilt. So many extra touches from fresh cold milk to make drinks in the room (rather than long life plastic capsules) to good quality biscuits and bottled water. No wonder this accommodation scores so high. You could not fault it. 🙌👏🏼👍😀

Wir sind so froh, diese Oase der Ruhe gefunden zu haben! Die Gastgeber Linda und Ian haben uns jeden Wunsch von den Augen abgelesen und waren überaus freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück war hervorragend, und man hatte hier diverse Optionen. Für jeden Geschmack war etwas dabei. Dazu kam der herrliche Blick aus dem Früstücksraum in die Landschaft. Unser Zimmer (so wie das ganze Haus) war gemütlich und liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Auch genügend Möglichkeiten zum Verstauen von Sachen waren vorhanden. Von unserem Balkon aus hatten wir einen traumhaften Blick über das große Grundstück mit dem wunderbaren Garten und dem Teich. Ein Kleinod!!

We booked in for our wedding anniversary. Linda and Ian were welcoming and keen to make our stay comfortable with good facilities and a breakfast menu of variety, cooked by Ian to a high standard. Home grown eggs and bread make by our hosts added that extra special touch. In fact, the whole breakfast experience was there to enjoy. Our room with the balcony gave beautiful views over the Devon countryside and the quiet was deafening. So peaceful and a world away from the usual city sounds. The ensuite facilities were another plus with clean fittings and space to move around. Nothing was too much trouble from the welcoming smile to general conversation, all was a great experience. Leaving was the hardest part as we could have stayed longer. Alas, All things must come to end. Hopefully, it will be nice to stay again in the future.
