Villa Arunalu Kandy

Wir haben uns in diesem Hotel rundum wohlgefühlt! Alles war unglaublich sauber und die Aussicht war einfach atemberaubend. Das Hotel liegt etwa 20 Minuten mit dem Tuk-Tuk von Kandy entfernt, aber genau das hat uns besonders gefallen – kein Smog, sondern pure Ruhe und Natur. An zwei Abenden haben wir hier auch zu Abend gegessen und das war eine hervorragende Entscheidung. Die Hausherrin kocht selbst und das Essen war wirklich köstlich – frisch, liebevoll zubereitet und voller authentischer Aromen. Wunderbare Gastgeber - wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können es absolut weiterempfehlen!

Very beautiful view from the balcony, clean and spacious room. Really beautiful villa, nicely decorated. The restaurant has a very cosy outside space with balcony which also overviews the beautiful view. We ate dinner and had breakfast and the food was very good. Only issue is to reach the villa, the road is very steep and narrow. Wouldn't recommend to reach there with a large vehicle.

Wow, what a place. I had such a restful and peaceful stay here! After travelling around Sri Lanka for 3 weeks, I booked 3 nights here to rest and I am so glad I did. First of all, the hosts are just wonderful. They are everything you would expect from 5* hospitality and more. They made me feel as though I was staying with long lost family whilst still being so respectful of my privacy - they did not over impose at all. It really felt like having the best of both the hotel and guesthouse worlds. They made me feel so welcome from the moment I stepped out of the taxi! The room was the cleanest room I’ve stayed in whilst travelling here - I felt so comfortable. The views were incredible and the outside shower was so cool - showering with a view!! Pressure and temperature were both great. The hosts asked me when I wanted to have breakfast each morning the day before and it was always delicious, with different fruit every day! If I could’ve stayed longer, I would have. This was the best booking I’ve made for a while and I was very sad to leave. Thank you so much and I hope to come back one day!!

Arunalu Villa was an unforgettable experience in Kandy. Perched atop a hill, the villa offered panoramic views of lush landscapes and the Knuckles Mountain Range. The sunrise vista was breathtaking. They welcomed us warmly and kind enough to offer a room upgrade. The rooms, charmingly decorated and spacious, provided a cozy retreat after a day of exploration.

Where to start, this place really is magical. The views are completely stunning and such a treat to wake up to each morning. There was nothing that Aruna and Suranji won't do to help. They helped us with trips, washing, taxis and even helped us plan the rest of our trip around Sri Lanka. They are the loveliest couple and made us feel right at home in their beautiful home stay. Breakfast was delicious and we had different Sri Lankan dishes to try each day. We also ate there one evening and had an incredible Sri Lankan meal for only £5 each. The rooms are clean and comfortable with incredible views and a lovely balcony to sit on and enjoy coffee in the morning. We would love to return here in the future.

Excellent experience in this small family-run B&B! The owners are so lovely and careful about their little gem and making their guests the most confortable possible, thank you for this great time in Kandy! The food was delicious from the breakfast (very complete and we appreciated the wood apple jam!) to the dinners for which Surenji always adapted to our preferences (not spicy etc.), she's really an excellent cooker!! Our room was clean, well equipped and confortable bed with a fantastic view! The position is a bit outside Kandy, which means very quiet and although some people commented about the distance, actually it's only a small tuktuk ride to the city centre and we really appreciated the lack of noise after busy days vising Kandy! Thank you Surenji and Aruna for our great discussions, all your attentions and making our stay in Kandy so enjoyable, we would repeat if we were back in SL!
