I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. It is not a 5 star hotel. If I pay for a 5 star hotel I expect a reasonable level of service. Starting with the swimming pools, they were dirty, the paint was peeling and for the first two days of our stay only one pool was filled with water. The toilets in the lobbies were dirty for hours, the toilet paper overflowed from the bins and the floor was muddy. The food was very disappointing, especially when you know the buffet of hotels that deserve their 5 stars. The variety was very limited, the barbecue was tough and the fruit was old. We were there with a large group of friends and when we entered the dining area we were not allowed to go in together as it was apparently overcrowded. The hotel manager was sometimes aggressive with guests. This should never happen in a 5 star hotel. Some children were excluded from a spa visit, which caused tears and sadness among the children. Something no parent would want for their children on holiday. In conclusion, I will definitely not be returning to this hotel, the value for money is just not there and if you are going to spend your hard earned money, then spend it on something where you know everyone will enjoy themselves and there will be no unpleasant situations.

Magdalena and Cindy were excellent masseuses, among the best we've ever experienced. The area is clean, agreeable, with soft music. Too bad there are very few slots available as this is only open 10-18. This salon is situated inside the Arapey thermal resort and spa hotel complex.

I highly recomend the resort, specially for relax and fun time. The offer to have fun at night is fabulous for adults and kids, enjoying together. The activities in the pool during the afternoon ! (Foam Party and Soapy slide) Marcos, Iris, Pamela and Andreina are great! they play, dance and do their best for guests to have Fun. Cristian (Manager) is multi-faceted, great profesional attending needs and an incredible showman - (Host). Laura in the dinning room, was very nice and effective. We had a great time ! I hope to return soon ! Thank you so much !

Gorgeous place, the landscape and property were beautiful and well maintained. Room was very comfortable and clean. My only complaint is that the staff didn’t speak English and we were often neglected by the waitress in the restaurant.

The whole experience in the hotel is very well taken care of, so we were able to focus on enjoying and relaxing exclusively. Adrian is like a one-man-band doing everything and being at everything. He does it great and is in fact part of the success of the service. He is seconded though by a great group of people. For instance, Hugo and Matias make any show enjoyable. Something awesome is the food in general. We stayed for 7 nights and there was always a surprise or a dish of the day (in every main meal) that makes it impossible to get bored. At breakfast we always had perfectly made Cappuccino, and in particular Lorena was awesome on that. She made 4 in no more than a minute and deliver them with a shiny smile. The Hotel cares to have always typical Uruguayan food, and all the guys cooking at the barbecue are awesome and they really know what they are doing. Julian in particular is a very easy guy to talk with and is a pleasure when he server you. Talking about the restaurant, it is amazing to see Wilson working and being on top of every detail. We had an issue one night and it didn’t last more than 5 minutes because the moment he realized it, he made the necessary adjustments to resolve it. There is a bar open from 11.00 to 01.00 and you can have a wide variety of drinks, with and without alcohol. All the guys were very gentle and served with a nice attitude. We dealt a lot with Matias, so worth acknowledging him. What I would call here is their menu of liqueurs. While they have a lot, Orange, Mint, Lemmon, etc, etc, their quality is not the best and in particular the lemon one, which could be like a limoncello (although is not formally such) , is never cold enough to drink as it should. Last but not least from the experience perspective, we enjoy A LOT the “Catas” for adults only. We had one for Chocolates, Beer, Wine and Olive oils, where we learnt a lot and had lot of fun. From the infrastructure perspective the Hotel is nice and although it was high season and full, we never felt uncomfortable due to the number of people together. The outside patio is awesome and the chance to ride horses was something my kids wanted to do all days. We were able to get a reservation 6 out of the 7 days, even though the Hotel was full. They should improve the maintenance of the Basketball or Tennis court though, which were in quite bad conditions. The outdoor pools and the indoor/outdoor one are at a great temperature to enjoy with hot or even little cold outside. We had several different temperatures during our stay. The last 20 kilometers of the road before arriving to the Hotel are in VERY bad conditions, should not be done at night. While it is not at all a responsibility of the Hotel but of the government, I would have appreciated a warning notice before arrival. The road is under construction and once final, surely will be perfect, but it will take still some time (may be months) to be final though. Again, the whole experience is remarkab
