"Having stayed at 4 Paradors this week, Lorca, Cuenca and siguenza, I was beginning to think that the Paradors had become just another dull hotel chain. Alcaniz changed that impression, brilliant staff who were really interested in their jobs and obviously very proud of what they were doing. Immaculate rooms, faultless service, marvellous food served with pride and panache. The parador itself is stunning, well designed, beautifully decorated and a delight to stay at. The loin of venison was the best I have ever tasted and I eat venison on a very regular basis. The breakfast contained all the normal parador stuff but it was served beautifully, the coffe was really hot, the eggs were excellent, not a greasy mess. Why oh why can’t all Paradors be like this, they used to be. What an excellent stay."

"Great location very near the Torico fountain. The hotel has onsite underground parking via a car lift which was easy to use. The rooms are clean very comfortable and the onsite restaurant serves very good food. Both the steak and roasted goat leg were exceptional. A true highlight of this hotel is the staff who go out of their way to help. We arrived with a faulty electric wheelchair that had a broken cable. The staff got their onsite electrician to repair this without hesitation and we are eternally grateful. If in Teruel stay here. Keep up the great work."

"Great place to visit. Our room was up to the normal Parador standard. We had a nice lunch and although the food was excellent the service was not. The waiters all looked very unhappy and were off-hand and officious. We were also given the wrong starter. Maybe they were unhappy at having to work during the town's fiesta but that is not an excuse for the level of service we received."
