Hawaii Volcano House

房間很臟。毛巾掛鈎至少五年沒擦了～床墊不忍直視！ 個人感覺沒必要住，想玩火山公園可以住在機場附近城鎮的連鎖品牌酒店，然後開車進公園。

酒店不錯，有觀看火山的最佳位置，可惜這趟之旅沒看到，遺憾！

You can't beat the location. This is what you are paying for. The common area has a beautiful view with a window wall of the crater and you can walk down a ramp to see the entire area. From the front door you have access to both the crater rim trail and a few shorter hikes, giving you a wonderful feel of the grandure of the area. That being said, the hotel itself is only so-so. It is clean, but very dated and expensive for what you get. If you are willing to spend your day at the park and drive for accommodations elsewhere you will get a lot more for your money. We had decided to pay the premium, thinking we could be in the park to see the lava in the dark at night and to get up before sunlight to drive over and get a good view of the lava flow, but the weather didn't cooperate. It is a risk you take.

An old hotel; but clean and neat. Its the only hotel in Hawaii that has a direct view of the volcano. Being able to look out your window and see a volcano fountaining is amazing. If you park there, clean off your windshield before driving away: as the volcanic ask is like glass and will rip up your wipers.

We stayed for 2 nights in a crater view room. The room was huge with a dressing room and small shower room. Like others have mentioned this is a historic hotel which is run down, old furniture, old windows, old shower room fittings, old lighting, old doors - you get the gist… Having said that the staff were all lovely, from the lady checking us in to the lovely waitress in Uncle George’s lounge to the man on the desk there seating people. It was very misty when we arrived so it was even more special when we woke the next day and looked out of our window to see the crater in all its glory, just wow. The location of the hotel is perfect for seeing the park and hiking the trials. We’ve been to hotels like this before which are great for location but a let down in terms of the actual building so we came expecting this. Parking. As others have mentioned can be a challenge, we got a space easily on arrival but the next day when we’d been out all morning we had to drive around a few times to eventually get a space. Even the welcome centre over the road had a car park which was full.

Rented a Rim View room. The owners of this wonderfully located hotel should be ashamed of themselves for the condition of this hotel. Hallway carpet so dirty you’d think you were at a Motel 8. Rooms musty, windows cloudy, peeling paint. I find it inexcusable that the operators of this hotel could find this acceptable. Expect a great location and nothing else
