Allamanda Beach Hotel

The hotel is right on the beach although only one block has views of the sea. There are cafes and bars nearby and the supermarket is very close. The pool was clean and the staff were very friendly. One bag of coffee is provided each day but there is no kettle. The description did not mention there was a fridge so this was a nice surprise. Free ice is provided from a machine. The wi fi strength was good. Taxis from the airport cost ECD 50. There are no facilities at the hotel as the restaurant was closed and there wasn’t a bar.

The photos online are old. The "Motel" no longer looks like that. It very tired looking. Very little parking, NO restaurant, the rooms are ok, they are on the beach, the lobby is scary looking. The sofas are dirty and stained. The staff are not friendly.

The location was walkable to beach,and transportation to and from hotel was readily available..Room,was spacious and bed was comfortable..I will recommend this hotel.

I loved that you can just walk to the beach and they gave you Beach chairs to..it was very Clean but very old property!!

This is an amazing budget friendly option with direct access to the most beautiful beach. Same beach all the pricey resorts access, at a third of the cost! The pool was refreshing and clean, beach chairs available, walkable to dinner/restaurants/other resorts/grocery. Staff was top notch!! Incredibly helpful, and arranged for taxis and car rentals and all other requests. If you are wanting a quiet, no frills, cheap, friendly, and perfectly located spot, look no further.

This hotel gets its price only for being on Grande Anse beach which is ranked #32 in the world. The grounds and walkway out to the beach were nice. The loungers at the beach were nice even though we had to drag them out to the sand ourselves. The beach and pool towels were nice to have. The pool needed cleaning and skimming. It was full of bugs and fly/knats but the pool water seemed clean enough. The air worked great in my room but my son had to change rooms due to air not working. Every night it was a party scene at the hotel next door with loud music until after midnight. If not there, it was loud at the public park on the other side of the hotel and big parties there with the local radio station.I heard small children screeching until midnight. It's walking distance to the IGA grocery store. We found a nice bar/ open restaurant we liked to walk to called the Umbrella. HOUSEKEEPING KNOCKED ON THE DOOR EVERYDAY AT 9AM! I tried to explain it's too early but I don't think she understood. THERE IS NO PLACE TO EAT AT THIS RESORT. No breakfast, no snacks. While I very much enjoyed my oceanfront room view, I would not ask for that room ever . It was on the 3rd floor with NO elevator. I did not know that! I am 62 and it was tough. I amnot overly active but not sedentary either. Overall it was an okay place. No bugs in room. Great ice machine on the 2nd floor.My king bed was comfy but my son's double was not. I would only stay there again if it was half the price of what I paid.
