Great hospitality,Beautiful and spacious rooms, excellent views, Best place to feel the local vibes. Food was good. Thankyou for making our stay memorable!!!Enjoyed the traditional dance and bonfire. Location is at walking distance to shopping areas.

Excellent location. We could just come out of the hotel and visit the crafts bazaar. The hotel is located in the middle of the downtown area. Everything, like, the textile museum, the postal museum are walking distance from the hotel. Staff is extremely friendly and always smiling. Food is good. The Indian food selection is very tasty. Overall we totally enjoyed the 2 day stay in that hotel. We stayed in 3 boutique hotels in Bumthang, Gangtey and Punakha and big hotels in Thimphu and Paro and I would openly say, the experience has not been any less in Pemako than the boutique ones. Actually I would say that the travel agent "Bhutan Inbound Tours" has made a clever decision to select Pemako in Thimphu. Because, we aren't looking so much for the nature in Thimphu. We are looking for the people, the local culture and the vibe. Pemako is best situated for immersing into those things in Thimphu. Totally loved this place.

I have traveled all over the world fir the past 45 years. I had had the privilege to stay at many 5 star hotel through work or leisure but I have never had the service I had at the PEMAKO. I was moved to the core with their kindness and compassion. I had a medical crisis right before I got there and needed to be at the ER due a day and half. The manager paid for a cab to get me there, and a staff member to stay with me the entire time. She facilitated all the tests and twists and turns at the public hospital. Since we were there so long the hotel sent over food to the hospital for me and my friend when we finally returned that night that had prepared us a special meal and not charged us. It was all above and beyond the beyond. The hotel us gorgeous. Serene. The gardens are a haven of beauty and calm. The stupor in the garden is a treasure. Best food we had the entire trip and the pool snd massage were fabulous. You must go. You will be so happy you did

The service and attention of the staff was excellent. The Pemako hotel in Thimphu, Bhutan offers a very good experience in a warm and exclusive setting. After taking the time to discuss with the team onsite, one objective is clear: To rival with the best high end properties around the world. Certainly a place I would like to come back to and recommend.

Pemako is one of the newer players in Bhutan’s high-end hospitality scene — and it shows, both in good ways and not-so-good ways. The design is impressive. The hotel is modern, well-crafted, and visually appealing, clearly aiming to distinguish itself from the older, more traditional resorts. Rooms are comfortable and well-appointed, with great views and nice attention to detail. That said, some of the service still feels like it’s catching up with the ambition of the space. Staff are polite and well-meaning, but the flow, timing, and polish you’d expect from a top-tier luxury property aren’t always there yet. It’s clear the team is still gaining experience. Food was decent — not exceptional, but thoughtfully prepared. Menu options are somewhat limited, especially if you’re staying more than a couple of nights. Overall, Pemako has potential. It’s well-designed and makes a strong first impression, but it’s not quite in the same league (yet) as the most established names in the region. If you go in with reasonable expectations, you’ll enjoy it — just don’t expect everything to be flawless.

The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay. On the day of our check-in, it coincided with the visit of the Thai King and Queen, resulting in heightened security and the closure of many nearby attractions. Despite this, the hotel team, particularly Prem and her colleague, were extremely apologetic. They kindly offered us complimentary head or foot massages to make up for the inconvenience and even treated us to authentic Bhutanese cuisine. Their hospitality didn’t stop there — they called several times to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Prem even shared her personal number with me, assuring that I could reach out to her at any time during my stay should I encounter any issues. The warmth and genuine care we experienced made us feel truly welcome. A big thumbs up to Pemaco Hotel, and an even bigger one to Prem for her outstanding service!
