The Poplars Rooms & Cottages

Th An excellent stay at The Poplars in Poppys lodge. Amanda was a great host and so easy to communicate with. The Poplars is in a lovely spot with countryside right on the doorstep. The lodge had everything we needed and beds were very comfy. Lovely and clean. Will definitely be back if in this part of Yorkshire again.

Nice B&B Nice B&B. I stayed in a room in the main house for one night on business. Very comfortable room and a delightful welcome from the host. Breakfast was excellent

Amanda & Richard and their lovely family treated us to an amazing 2 day stay, with the comfiest of rooms (especially the king size bed), delicious breakfasts (the black pudding is the best), and wonderful friendly hospitality. So close to Thirsk and the convenient train station, and yet within a stones throw of the most beautiful Yorkshire Countryside and amazing pubs & breweries. On our trip we visited the fascinating Druids Temple & Swinton Estate, and tasted the best beers in the UK at Theakston's Brewery in Massam & The George at Wath. Amanda & Richard take great pride in Yorkshire making sure food is sourced locally & recommending excellent places to visit. They do everything they can to make sure your trip is memorable and, most importantly, that you feel at home. We will definitely return.

Thirsk, a Gem of a stay From the moment we arrived til the time we left it was like being at home, great location, luxurious room, Quality breakfast and host. We stayed Two nights and it was excellent.

Very Comfortable Just outside of Thirsk in a nice quiet area. Local pub in walking distance with a Tesco and Aldi just 3 minutes drive. Thirsk itself has a choice of food styles but book early. The cottage had everything we needed and was extremely comfortable. Will defiantly stay again.

Amazing two nights here! Fantastic stay here, lovely little cottage, massive bed, kitchen well-equipped. Lovely donkeys outside my window! Massive thanks to Amanda & Marie - first rate service
