"Worried about the room's small size, I booked the Matsu room. The design was fantastic, creating a Zen-like sanctuary within Tokyo.
Facilities: Two tatami beds with very comfortable bedding; a spacious separate dressing room; a large sofa that doubles as a bed; and a small, comfortable sofa in the bathroom.
Environment: The shared living room was very convenient, offering snacks. The Japanese corn crisps were delicious, and small scoops of ice cream were available all day. The rooftop hot springs are truly unique, with two connected indoor and outdoor areas. The water is slightly yellow and has a sulfurous smell. It's a genuine hot spring! After a soak, your body feels smooth, and a bottle of iced milk is a complete revelation. The hotel's location is not very obvious, hidden away in the city. The driver had to drive around a bit before finding the underground drop-off point.
Service: Most of the staff were female. Upon arrival, they didn't help with my luggage, but simply stood by and directed the hired driver, which was a bit surprising. The receptionist had to approach and clearly stated they would only greet me if they needed to communicate. After checking out, while waiting for the car in the lobby, no one asked if I wanted a drink of water. The overall feeling was quite distant."
"A very good Japanese-style B&B ~ The room is large and very clean. The toilet, bathroom, and hand washing area are separated and can be used by several people at the same time. There is also a washing machine outside, and there are also laundries and convenience stores nearby. The only drawback is the location. It is relatively remote, so you have to take a bus from Kita Ikebukuro to Ikebukuro Station."

"Gem of a hotel in the heart of Shibuya!
LOCATION
2min walk to Shibuya station (though the actual train line is probably another 10min walk away).
10min walk to Shibuya scramble.
10min walk to Harajuku and 15min walk to Omotesando, 18min walk to Harajuku/ Takeshita street.
30min train ride to Ginza.
Overall SUPERB location to explore those areas of Tokyo.
Right across the hotel is a mall (Miyashita Park) and of course all the convenience stores within a 3-5min walk.
TIP: There is a airport bus shuttle (USD22/one way) at Shibuya station. It looks walkable on the map, but if you have 2-3 luggage, it would be a great challenge to navigate through the human jungle to the shuttle bus pick up point. I would highly suggest taking a cab to the bus station :) It's about a 1.5 hour very comfortable journey, including one other hotel pick up. There is a locked luggage store room at the hotel lobby, so you can leave your bags there after check out.
ROOM
Room is functional and well maintained. And most importantly - CLEAN, with 4 pillows! Bed was firm and comfortable.
I stayed in a 11sqm room, at first I was very apprehensive about being cooped up in a capsule type of room, but the design and layout made the room spaces very usable - for one big luggage, and a cabin size luggage. The room was very clean, bare amenities - but more than enough - slippers, pajamas, tooth brush and tooth paste, 1 body towel and 1 hand towel. The shower had a rain bath and bath gel/ shampoo. Rest of the room had a fridge, safe and hair dryer.
Check in was done via a machine on the second floor and there is a cafe on that same level. Even though check in was automated, there are very friendly staff there to assist.
Rooms are well sound insulated so there was not much noise from the street (from 10th floor) and no noise from the rooms next door, only noise was from the vacuuming (after 10am) from room service.
TV has pre-installed Youtube and Netflix.
FOOD
There is a breakfast menu - western style - see attached picture.
Cafe on level 2 and another cafe on level 1. Lots of other options around the hotel so go out and explore!"
The Sho House provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Sho House offers a pleasant stay in Tokyo for those traveling for business or leisure. Traveling to the hotel is easy with Minami-Shinjuku Station located approximately 200m away and Haneda Airport roughly 21km away. Being just minutes away from Yoyogi Metro Station allows guests to explore the city with ease. With multiple attractions nearby including Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building North Observation Deck, Shinjuku Chuo Park and Japan National Stadium, guests will find plenty to keep themselves occupied. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities.
"Location is perfect connected with Mount Fuji public bus which is convenient, hotel provides shuttle transferring between station and hotel, onsen view is wonderful. High service quality with warm greetings and helpful assistances, especially taking photos for the guest while leaving the hotel."
"Very satisfied, the service is excellent! If you stay one less day, you will be given check-out money. It is very hygienic. It is also very cost-effective to treat friends to dinner. The transportation is convenient. I will stay in this hotel next time."
"Cannot beat the location of this hotel which sits directly above Tokyo Station. Beautiful hotel with lovely staff who speak perfect English. The Chief Concierge Ms Mori was so helpful and affable - able to help with all requests.
Breakfast spread in The Atrium was good as usual but there was just the one platter of marinated raw sea bream as the sashimi dish. The fruits were tiny cubes of melon, pineapple, kiwi and orange (1 each) in individual serves.
Last year, there was chirashi offered. And in 2019, a huge platter of all kinds of sashimi and slices of Hokkaido melon.
The drinks and snacks / plates offered at the hotel's bar called Bar & Lounge Camellia were excellent. We visited thrice. Happy Hours is 5 to 6 pm with cocktails (even Bellini & Mimosa made with champagne !), beer, wine, mocktails at ¥1300. Staff were congenial and bartenders very professional."
"I was very satisfied with the stay and the service was very good. I feel that I will continue to choose this hotel for business trips in the future. The transportation time is convenient and the surrounding facilities are very good."

Amazing
KKay JanLocation was convenient, able to reach most places within 30 minutes. There is filtered water provided at each floor. The room was spacious and there are bathtubs. Service was great, there was free flow alcohol on new year’s eve. Love the place
AandreaongxAbsolutely loved our stay here! Perfect location right in the heart of Shinjuku — close to the train station, food, and all the buzz of Tokyo, but still quiet and comfortable when we needed to unwind. The room was spotless, the service was kind, and the city views were such a treat. Thank you for making our Tokyo trip even more special!

GGuest UserVery convenient just 5mins to Shinjuku Station. Very clean and most importantly, ample space to open our suitcase wide, seldom seen in most Tokyo hotels. Space is wisely designed for guests’ good usage. Tv many local and overseas channels. Totally value for money, will stay again for sure

AAvedisGood hotel if you want to get away from busy place as shinjuku area. Restaurant everywhere and the JR train station only stone throw away and metro arround 5 minute. The room not too small not too big just enough for 2 of us. The hotel also provide you with washing machine coin in the lobby and ammenities like skincare and tea. Definitelly i will comeback again to this hotel for another tokyo trip.

GGuest UserEverything is good, the room is a bit small, but it’s in Japan so it’s still acceptable. The breakfast is good but not so good as the other dormy inns, but still with this price, it’s good enough.

GGuest UserThe hotel boasts an excellent location. With a subway exit right outside, it's incredibly convenient for getting around. The Ginza shopping district is just a 5-minute walk away, and there are plenty of dining options and convenience stores nearby – everything you could need! While the rooms are on the smaller side, they are spotlessly clean. A major plus is the onsen (hot spring) facility, and they even provide a high-quality Refa hairdryer. Highly recommend!

GGuest UserThe hotel was absolutely fantastic! It's compact but incredibly well-equipped, having everything you could possibly need. The staff provided excellent service, and there was a great variety of breakfast options in the morning. In the evenings, you could even unwind with a relaxing bath and a drink. I had initially worried the hotel's location might be a bit out of the way, but it turned out to be incredibly convenient during our stay. There's a Family Mart right downstairs, and nearby you'll find a subway station, Don Quijote, various beauty stores, and a plethora of delicious food options. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Tokyo!

KKJGood for solo traveller and accessible to 7-11 & restaurants. Room cleaning every day from 11 to 3pm, overall the restroom & capsule was clean.
Tips for improvement on the USB charger in the capsule, will suggest to install a wall outlet instead for fast charging for laptop or hp.

CCarey LoyCenturion Hotel Ueno: Compact Convenience in a Prime Location
The Centurion Hotel Ueno offers a convenient and well-located base for exploring Tokyo. As is typical for the city, the rooms are on the smaller side, but this is a trade-off for the hotel's excellent location.
The hotel's proximity to Ueno Park is a major advantage, especially during cherry blossom season. Guests can easily enjoy the stunning natural beauty and cultural attractions the park offers.
Furthermore, the area surrounding the hotel boasts a wide variety of fantastic food options, making it easy to find delicious meals and experience the local culinary scene.
If you prioritize a central location, easy access to Ueno Park, and a wealth of nearby dining choices, and are comfortable with smaller room sizes, the Centurion Hotel Ueno is a great choice for your Tokyo stay.

IItorinaIt’s a very convenient place to stay close to the station and it has a couple of stores to buy from and to eat out. The view in the hotel we’re staying at, was the best view for us. The staff at the hotel cleans our stuff often and change our bins and clothes etc. The service staff helps us a lot go through stuff with the luggage packing and cleaning information. It was a comfortable experience to have. Thank you!!
