Super, amazing, perfect - no words are enough to express how great the Carlton Court is. Lynn and Paul are excellent hosts, the CC is situated perfectly within a pleasant walking distance of the front, Town center, and other attractions but in a peaceful quiet neighbourhood. With its own dedicated car park the Carlton Court ticks all our boxes. Brilliant freshly home cooked breakfast with lots of options. The whole place is spotlessly clean and well maintained elegance. A gem that we first found during lock down and that we try to visit at least once a year. Thanks again for another wonderful stay.

A hidden gem ! Excellent service and hospitality provided by Lynn and Paul making us feel very welcome and at home. Stayed in Larkspur which was spotlessly clean and comfortable with everything required for a comfortable stay with great attention to detail and elegant decor. Breakfast was delicious with a good selection to choose from and freshly cooked breakfast which was lovely and hot. Lynn's homemade flapjack and jams were a lovely treat and a nice touch. Carlton Court is in a great location, just tucked out of the way in a peaceful location but close enough to the town centre and seafront making it easy enough to explore around and about. If you are looking for 5 star luxury with 5 star service from 5 star hosts, then Carlton Court is highly recommended.

Hier stimmt einfach alles, vom Charakter des liebevoll gestalteten viktorianischen Gebäudes mit einem traumhaften verwunschenen Garten bs hin zu den individuell und geschmackvoll eingerichteten Zimmern. Das absolute Highlight aber sind die Gastgeber selbst. De und Terry kümmern sich mit ganzem Herzen um das Wohlbefinden der Gäste. Angefangen beim super Frühstück, dass Terry jeden Tag frisch und nach Wunsch perfekt zubereitet und De, die mit ihrem fundierten Wissen großartige Hinweise für Trips und Ausflüge aber auch für Restaurants und Pubs geben kann. Wirklich eine traumhafte Zeit, vielen herzlichen Dank!

Fantastic hosts, fabulous room with excellent facilities and great location. The room was immaculate and had iced water provided and a kettle with lots of tea and coffee and fresh milk which was very nice to have. The full English breakfast was superb. It was freshly cooked and lovely and hot. Best hotel we have stayed at inTorquay. We will definitely go back.

You walk over the door step and feel at home. Spacious room large bath room and everything very clean. The owners understand very well to pay attention to decorative details, very good taste! Linn and Paul made me want to stay longer but unfortunately I had to move on.

Another fabulous stay at Carlton Court, stayed for 2 great night's in Fern room, a lovely room with 3 large turret style windows facing southwest toward Cockington and Paignton, very peaceful and quiet to sleep, we were looked after once again by the lovely warm and friendly hosts Lynn and Paul , breakfast was outstanding with beautifully presented choices of fresh fruit and yoghurt/ cereals, and cooked breakfast, served in the lovely dining room with view over the garden, the tables are laid with spotlessly clean table wear and the service is fantastic.

This is my 4th or 5th visit to Carlton Court and I have always left feeling that I would return when next in Torquay. The owners are extremely welcoming and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The room was very comfortable, clean and warm providing everything I needed including a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast was excellent and included cereal, fruit, fruit juice and a full english breakfast either vegetarian or not. The guest house has its own private parking and is in about 15 minutes walking distance of the seafront.
