I recently stayed at AluaSun for 5 nights with my family to celebrate my 40th birthday. We booked an all-inclusive package for 4 adults and paid a reasonable price. Overall, I was very pleased with the experience and felt it offered good value for money. Positives: Cleanliness: The hotel was spotless throughout. I didn’t come across a single area that made me or my children uncomfortable. The cleanliness standards were clearly very high. Friendly and Helpful Staff: The team was consistently friendly and accommodating. A special mention to Daniel at reception who somehow remembered my birthday and wished me personally—a small gesture, but one that made a big impact. The hotel also left a bottle of champagne and a card in our room, which was a lovely touch. Facilities: The pool bar was well-stocked with food and drinks, which was a huge plus for the kids. There are three pools: a children's pool, a mid-sized shallow pool (0.5m), and a larger pool. The kids’ club was very active, with regular activities that kept the children engaged. The nightly disco was a fun addition—nothing ground-breaking, but enjoyable and well-received. Room Amenities: Beds were comfortable, the pillows were great, and the TV offered a wide range of English channels. Food and Service: There was a decent selection of food overall. Breakfast was standard fare, but that’s to be expected with an English breakfast. The paella was outstanding—definitely a highlight. Food service was excellent, with plenty of staff constantly cleaning and clearing tables efficiently. Location: The hotel is well-located, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Areas for Improvement: Room Size: The room felt quite small for four adults, especially with large suitcases and extra beds. It was a bit cramped at times. While we weren’t in the room much, this was noticeably the smallest room I’ve stayed in at an all-inclusive hotel. Room Amenities: The in-room amenities could be improved. Basic toiletries such as body lotion, toothpaste, and other essentials were not provided—only handwash and shower gel were available. It would have been nice to have the usual hotel toiletries expected at this level. Also no water was a big minus for me. Especially in a hot country expecting us to either stock water by buying them or filling our own bottles and taking them to the room seemed a bit of a let down. Food Variety: While the food quality was generally good, I found the variety limited. Themed dinner nights would have made the dining experience more exciting. I mostly stuck to the paella because it stood out from the rest. Desserts: As someone with a sweet tooth, the dessert options were underwhelming. Many items lacked flavour unless topped with chocolate sauce. The panna cotta, for example, was disappointing. Meat Options: There seemed to be a heavy focus on pork. While I’m not opposed to it, a wider selection of other meats would have been appreciated. Sunbed Reservations: Not a fau
