Hotel E la Calesa

This is a nice, quiet hotel. Kleening/houskeeping was good. The staff is lovely, and the hotel seems well maintained. They really make the most of what they have, such as running their generator when public power supply fail. A small pool in the back yard adds to the experience.

This is a small hotel, our group filled it completely. The room was OK. Since the temperature was nice, we turned off the air and opened two small panels in the top of the wooded window shutter. If there was a safe in the room I couldn't find it. The shower worked quite adequately, but the hot water had to be on for several minutes to get hot. The markings were confusing on the controls and several people in our group complained about no hot water but I think they had the control set to cold rather than hot. The location is good, walking distance to everything. Breakfast was limited but adequate and little different from what we cook at home for ourselves, eggs and toast and some fruit. They will also make an omelet or a grilled ham and cheese if you ask. The coffee was good, and the small nature of the hotel meant that it was easy to get a refill. The power in Trinidad goes out frequently, the hotel has a backup generator that kicks in after a few seconds. It is a bit noisy but better than no power. The Wifi disconnects frequently, so you need to reconnect about every 5 minutes

No tuvimos suerte y la experiencia fue regular. La situación es muy buena. Al lado del Iberostar y zona de salir. El hotel es pequeñito y con un patio que cuenta con una pequeña piscina (muy pequeña). Entrada muy bonita típica de la zona donde se encuentra recepción y zona de desayuno y acceso a habitaciones por escalera (si llevas maleta grande tendrás que subirlas…). El hotel en general había sido pintado y sus muebles barnizados recientemente y las habitaciones olían mucho, haciéndose difícil incluso conciliar el sueño. La luz se fue entre las 22:00 y las 00:30 de la noche, con lo cual nos quedamos sin aire acondicionado. Hacía tanto calor y humedad que durmimos en un charco de sudor en las camas. Cuando volvió la luz el a/a es tipo split, con lo cual Pasamos algo de frío. Se oye el ruido de las fiestas y discotecas de la ciudad que apagan a las 00:00. Y oiràs algo el trasiego de huespedes puesto que las ventanas y puertas dan a un pasillo sobre el Propio patio. A las 5h30 el gallo o gallos que estàn a ladito te daràn los buenos días . En fin, mala suerte, no volveríamos

Hôtel 4 étoiles dans Trinidad qui a un très joli centre historique Chambre spacieuse confortable. Connexion wifi . Propreté limite. Petite piscine très agréable le matin ou en fin de journée. Petit déjeuner limité pour un 4 étoiles. Personnel peu accueillant.

Adequate, small, quaint hotel, good for our two night stay. My husband and I went on a 10 day, People to People Tour of Cuba and stayed, while in Trinidad. Our room was okay, nothing to write home about. Probably, one of the best available in this Unesco city. Safety deposit box did not work. We inquired and management said that all the safety deposit boxes were not working. Small pool, which we did not have time to use. Wifi worked for a few hours and had to be reconnected frequently. Again, very "normal" in Cuba. Breakfast was mediocre. Eggs and more eggs, some toast, and good coffee ( I ordered capuccino). Electric power was out several times during our stay. Generator took over after a few minutes. We understood that this was "normal" in most of Cuba. No complaints. Overall, adequate stay.

Ein im klassischen Kolonialstil gehaltenes Hotel. Freundlich und Nett. Nicht weit vom Hauptplatz entfernt. Die Zimmer sauber mit ordentlicher Sanitärer Einrichtung. Da wir mit Gruppe unterwegs waren, war nur eine Nacht möglich. Der kleine Pool ist sauber und für eine Abkühlung gut.
