"Our stay at this hotel left us feeling a bit underwhelmed. While I wouldn't go so far as to say avoid it entirely, I can't recommend it or see myself returning. The room, advertised as having a king-size bed, disappointingly turned out to be a double. Despite the hotel's emphasis on green choices, the room was unbearably warm upon arrival. We had to open both the windows and the door just to cool it down. This lack of basic comfort seemed counterintuitive to their eco-conscious branding. Furthermore, small but crucial amenities were absent, such as a hairdryer, and some lights weren't working. The absence of an in-room phone meant there was no easy way to request these missing items, adding to the overall inconvenience. The breakfast experience was equally disappointing. The so-called buffet consisted of a small, albeit pleasant, continental breakfast. However, being asked immediately upon arrival if we'd like to pay an additional £10 for a cooked breakfast made the setup feel misleading. At £14.50, the continental breakfast alone did not feel like good value.  The restaurant also had a notice about a £2.50 charge for menu amendments. While I understand the principle of upcharges, this particular policy felt excessive and off-putting. These issues were compounded by a lack of personal touches that form the foundation of good customer service. No one asked at checkout or during breakfast how our stay had been, a small but impactful gesture that could have mitigated some of our disappointments. In hindsight, I feel I overpaid by about 20-30% compared to the value I received. Knowing what I do now, I likely wouldn't have chosen this hotel for our stay."

"Check in unpleasant experience. Receptionist was unwelcome and unfriendly, made us feel awkward. She didn’t want to check us in on her computer tired to force us to check on the machine which we refused as we didn’t remembered booking details. She made a bit of deal of this and whole experience was poor. Room like sauna, air condition blow only warm air, didn’t work or was switched off to save electricity bill. We paid for room we didn’t enjoyed and girl made us feel unwelcome. Only positive thing was friendly and helpful Asian girl during breakfast. Won’t use this premier inn again. Hotel is pretty dirty, unkept."

"Hotel is average for 1 night stay and value for money considering breakfast included in price and the location of the hotel from the high street. Lots of creaky noises in the room and hotel room like a maze with lots of entry /exit restrictions makes it an average stay inspite of the nice swimming pool and gym. Staff - very polite and helpful including the restaurant staff."
