Stonehouse Motel and Restaurant

Little hard to find the sign is small, but across from the best western listen to the gps when it tells you to turn. The reservation was made before I read the reviews then I started to panic. But figured I could afford to waste $99. If the reviews were right and made the agreement to check the room before bringing in the luggage. We stayed in the stone house so I can’t say anything about the motel part of it but it is amazing. I would live here hardwood floors, big bed, tub build for two (was not used). King size bed. Had trouble with the tv but they came and fixed that (more than likely user error). Over all I’d stay the entire trip but have other things waiting for me to see

I strongly advise against staying at this motel due to the plethora of issues I encountered during my recent stay. The foreign cleaning staff I interacted with displayed a remarkable lack of respect, which was particularly concerning given my recent hospitalization for severe pneumonia. When I attempted to take a shower, the cold water was unbearable, and despite running the shower for 10 minutes, it failed to heat up. The room's lack of heating further exacerbated the discomfort, as it was excessively cold. As someone with extensive experience in the hospitality industry and currently experiencing homelessness, I was shocked by the subpar treatment I received. The motel offered a 30% discount to book another night, but upon my return, I was informed that my room had been given away due to an 'accidental' mistake. I found this excuse dubious and was not permitted to speak with the manager. I intend to escalate this matter further until I receive a full reimbursement and a formal apology. Notably, if the owner is also the proprietor of the adjacent Pizza place, I must commend the exceptional quality of the food, which I would rate 10/10, and the kindness of the male staff.

I stayed at the Stonehouse for one night in December 2023. Never will I again. This had to be the worst customer service experience of my life and I've work in the hospitality for over 30 years. I was quoted a room rate which taxes in was 100$ and they charged my CC 109$. Easy mistake to remedy by just issuing a refund for 9$. Think again. I called over 12 times over the course Dec 2023 - Jan 2024 in order to speak to a manager and every single phone call was that the manager is not in or we don't know his schedule and after leaving my name and number 5 times and receiving no call back after 4 weeks the resolution was to not refund my 9$ but to say that no one quoted me at that price. After speaking with Amandeep Bitar, Talala Bitar, Ellaine Bitar, all of whom just dismissed everything I said over and over I have come to conclusion these people don't care about their guests. Talala Bitar is listed as the manager for Stonehouse on his Linked In and told me his name was David after speaking to him. Why lie about something so small Please support other motel business in the area as the Bitar's really dont care about their guests and will do anything to save 9$. Overall the room was 2/10, it smelled of cigarettes and mold. The sheets weren't clean, the heat was barely working.. This place is a disgusting. Thanks Talal Bitar you are terrible at your job.

I stayed here the in Jan 2024. The service was very poor. I stated that my room smelled of cigarettes and that from the looks of it the room didnt look clean and they refuse to change rooms for me. The sheets were dirty and from other reviews Stonehouse Motel may have bed bugs. I should have done my research before booking a room here. To other guest thinking about staying here please save your money. They wouldn't issue me a refund.

We went to the stonehouse for a month starting on November 1st well our house was getting ready to be moved into and we ended up leaving 2 weeks early because my husband, our 3 year old and I ended up in the hospital thinking we had hives, but turned out to be bed bugs we left as soon as we found out my husband went in thinking they would give us a full refund which they denied leaving us in a very bad situation with a 3 year old we all found a place to get showered off and we had to go out that night to grab each of us brand new outfits and we almost ended up with no where to go leaving us to almost have to sleep in our truck for the next 2 weeks, but we ended up explaining our situation to a hotel near truro and they said they could see what they could do and ended up finding us a room and also gave us a very generous discount for the room we were also left with a big bill when getting all our clothes cleaned plus the medication we had to buy and the stonehouse did not care one bit and I would just really like to warn everybody because the night we left they did not warn a single person and have yet to warn anybody about it and we know for a fact they did not have any professional come out and get the mess cleaned up

This place was disgusting. Dirty and filthy. Torn and sticky carpet, smelly bed, dirty bathroom. It was the worse motel I have stayed in. The pictures on their website are deceiving. Here are pictures of the ‘Elegant King Bedroom’ we booked for an hiked price.
