Valara - Alpine Art Hotel

On arrival we were allocated our rooms. I stayed in a single called the Rifflealp, - nice bed although I wish they supplied blankets in Austria as I find those douveys very hot at night. Excellent modern shower, (no bath) , good ventilation , satellite tv, tea/coffee maker,large cupboard,etc. Staff were very pleasant and helpful, boot room , ski lockers that locked electronically with your room card, games room , fantastic breakfasts with a huge variety of cereals, honeycomb honey on a rack, range of homemade? jams, croissants, cheese. Evening meals were a culinary delight although you had to book them in at advance at breakfast. - no problem. The hotel is in a great location next to the base station cable car for easy access to the three stage lifts with a few ski shops and restaurants at each stage incase weather turns. - 3 days it was a white-out, but on the wednesday it cleared revealing perfect powder conditions, although caution is advised when skiing off piste on the glacier but there are warning signs. Apres ski was great at the 'hen house ' over the road from the hotel from 4pm onwards . Shops - Intersport and others are here offering ski services but the hotel offers this at a much cheaper rate. A memorable experience! Will definitely return next year.

Overall this is a very good hotel located right next to the skiing gondola making it easily possible to ski back to the hotel with only a 2 minute walk to the gondola in the morning as the bridge for the mountain stream and car park is in the way. The bedrooms are of a large size including a sofa, table & chairs, writing table and plenty of wardrobe storage. The rooms are kept well cleaned. The sauna/spa area is not as good as other 4 star hotels in the valley and wine prices at dinner are high. The staff are friendly & work well together. A 6 course meal taking 45 minutes on average to be served. Having stayed at 6 hotels mostly 4 star in the Zillertal valley it's difficult to find fault with them in general.

Danke. Der Rindererhof ist ein 4 Sterne Hotel mit bester Lage. Zimmer neu Renoviert das Frühstück sehr sehr gut mit allem was man sich denken kann Personal freundlich und um jeden extra Wunsch bemüht. Wer mit Frühstück Bucht bekommt nachmittags eine "Jausen" mit Kuchen oder Herzhaften Essen. Das Hotel hat auch ein Wellness Bereich auch gut. Am besten ist das Personal sowas freundliches habe ich schon lange nicht gesehen.

Hotel in right next to cable-way. Rooms was great, balcony with nice view. Food was perfect. Ski room is well thought out. Staff was very kind. Hotel has a terrace with view to mountains. We had afternoon cocktail there with a view to mountains, waterfall, cable-way. It was peaceful. There are trail all around the hotel if you come in summer. We enjoyed it bit time.

Top-Lage direkt an der Talstation der Gondel. Hervorragendes Eingehen auf meine Nahrungsmittel-Allergien, so dass ich ohne jegliche Einschränkungen das sehr leckere Essen genießen konnte. Großzügiger, schöner Wellnessbereich. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal.

Another fantistic holiday! We have been visiting Hintertux and Der Rindererhof regularly for years and there is a reason we keep going back... the hotel is brilliant, perfect location, fantastic food, clean comfortable rooms and wonderful service from all of the staff. The spa, children's play room and new gym are an added bonus. The staff couldn't be more helpful and welcoming. Our sons birthday was the day we arrived and there was a lovely cake and table decorations waiting for him at our evening meal We stayed over Easter and there were a cute little boxes full of treats for everyone on the Sunday morning. Lovely little token gestures that really add a special touch. You get a voucher for the buses which means if there is a bad weather day you can hop on the bus and head down to Mayrhofen for free. We had a super day down there at the pool, definitely worth a visit, and another day in Zell am Ziller, brillaint play/adventure area for children, when there were high winds on the Glacier. The food was excellent, great variety and choice for breakfast and a super evening meal with options for everyone. There was a children's buffet each night and their food was also great (not the nuggets and chips you often find) but lots of options including pasta, chicken, schnitzel, vegetables etc... The rooms are big, clean and comfortable with lovely views of the mountain from the balcony. There has been lots of work & upgrades to the hotel over the past few years and the family rooms are being revamped this summer so we are really looking forward to seeing those again next time. It's a home away from home for us and we will be back again next year. Thank you Andrea, Lara, Elke and all of the team for another brilliant week!
